Cheap, free secure parking, quiet area, but that's all. The entire place is quite unpleasant, dirty hallways and rooms, stains on the walls, very frayed interior, many things were damaged, including doors, walls, furniture and other eqipment. And the staff was not really friendly.

I booked a room for four people - staying with our two boys 10 and 16 and it seemed the best option. I was a little nervous after reading the previous reviews but found the hotel really clean and the facilities outstanding. Well maintained. Newly refurbished. Good breakfasts. A bathroom and a second toilet en-suite. I had a hire car... More

I stayed in this hotel for 8 nights B&B. Hotel is approximately 20 minute tram journey to Krakow centre. I had problem with my room & when I brought this to attention of receptionist I was treated with courtesy & patience, as my Polish is non-existent. The problem was not rectified & I was upgraded to a superior room at... More

The rooms were basic but clean. The hotel staff were nice and helpful enough despite their limited English capacity. The hotel itself is located rather far from the city center, but it can be quite easily reached with the 184 bus, which stops directly in front of the hotel. Also, there was a restaurant next to the hotel that serves... More

If you're looking for a simple place to rest your head after long days traversing Krakow, this is a very affordable option. The rooms were relatively spacious and the bedding comfortable. The bathroom could have used a bit of renovation, but efforts have clearly been made to refresh it and it is certainly clean. The building is a bit old,... More

We stayed here because we were headed to the Salt Mines early the next day. It is a good location for that, but it wasn't anywhere interesting. We went into the local grocery store and we were definitely a novelty attraction to the local people. We stayed in the old part of the hotel because it was SO cheap, but... More

Typical old-style "akademik" (college dormitory), sufficient for shorter stay. No kitchen facilities (kettle in a room). Shower and toilet accompany single room. Quite far from a city centre, Wawel and Old Town. It takes about 15 minutes by bus to get there. On the other hand - the location is good if you want to sleep well. Optima is situated... More

Welcome to Warsaw Pact. The door to my room needs to be replaced - the bottom of it is tearing apart. Make your own bed. A pillow almost as big as half of the bed - was I supposed to fold it in half? I've reported a noisy pipe (going off when people next door were washing) - they promised... More

I took my severely disabled daughter to meet friends. We stayed at this hotel for 4 days to start with, then returned for another night on way back to Krakow airport. Although I spoke no Polish, and the staff spoke no or little English, we were with Polish friends. The hotel is basic, clean and very helpful, they alwasy asked... More

I expected to see an old communist building without any real management but I was nicely surprised when we arrived there. The only problem for some travelers who do not speak/understand Russian could be the night shift at the reception desk - an old and nice guy who's not good at English but speaks some German and a LOT of...
