hostel itself quite ok, really nice common area, but.. beds (at least in a room number 4) are simply terrible! usually i am not that sensitive about beds, i though i can sleep everywhere, but this bed was unacceptable. mattress had a huge cavity in the middle, so i could feel everything what's beneath.. and in the same room (with... About 10-15 min walk from the railway station. Helpful and nice receptionist. Breakfast! Typical European breakfast: choice of muesli and jams, sour milk, cheese, sausages, vegetables, bread, choice of tea, coffee. All you need. And self-service of tea and coffee at any time. Not every hostel includes breakfast in the price. Bed lining also included! But, of course, everything is... More

When i came to Krakow i didn't have anything booked, actually the taxi driver took me there saying that it was the best hostel in Krakow, and i have to say, he was 100% RIGHT. The girl from reception desk was very helpful and nice, she suggested a student discount, i stayed in dorm, it was clean and quiet. Krakow is... More

Having been let down by a booking at the Alexander 1 Hotel in Krakow, we found we had nowhere to stay and apparently there was a big medical conference in Krakow in May so all the rooms were let ! We were very fortunate to have found the Hostel Yellow, what brilliant staff, very helpful and very friendly, we were... More

Great location. Really friendly and helpful staff (especially when I picked up the wrong luggage from the airport, they contacted the airport for me and helped me track down the person who had mine). Nice clean rooms, good communal areas and an all-round good hostel.

The location is ideal, just on the edge of Old Town. All the reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast included is cereal, ham, cheese etc. - a really good buffet. We had a twin room in the back of the building, which overlooks a quiet courtyard. (The dorms are in the front, I don't know what they... More

Nice hostel but not very much fun while we were there anyway....very weird collection of people! You can't really fault the facilities; three free computers, kitchen, nice communal room (in which they let us sleep while we waited for our rooms!). Showers weren't great but they got the job done. Pricing is fair from what I remember and location is... More

When I'm in Krakow, I'm always staying in Hostel Yellow. Very well located, great staff, nice atmosphere, and low prices - what else to expect? Once I did a late check-out from the hostel, and it wasn't a problem for staff - many other hostels would probably charge me for that. All in all - definitely recomended!
