A few small laneways and late in the evening had us a little worried but then we arrived. Wow. More like a castle than a shooting lodge. Everything is oversized, grand entrance, stairway, rooms and even the front door key. Many stuffed animals, including large bear at the foot of the stairway. We ate a fantastic meal of wild boar... This place is amazing - built in the 1860's to host hunting parties, it is adorned with photos (including one of Kaiser Wilhelm posing on the front steps) and trophies galore. The spiral staircases take you to sympathetically furnished rooms that are comfortable, clean and tidy. The lifeblood of the Residence is the hosting of weddings, first holy communions and... More

We stayed here on the way between Wroclaw and Krakow. Immediately we realized the place is very well run and immaculately kept despite its age and decor. As someone with allergies to dust and mold, I was perfectly comfortable and had no problems at all among the hunting trophies and antiques. The staff were amazingly helpful and cheerful, and welcoming... More

Stunning setting, this former hunting lodge totally changed my initial perception of Poland. A unique atmosphere with gourmet cuisine at the restaurant, both of our dinners were exceptional, and then there's the first-class breakfasts! Utter comfort and I would have to say probably the nicest place we have ever stayed in the world! Our bedroom was cosy rather than spacious... More

Yes, our first trip to Poland and after a trip by road we were very apprehensive to say the least. This former Hunting Lodge is situated in a very forested area 20kms from the Auschwitz Nazi Concentration camp which was our purpose for being there. The staff are very welcoming, fluent in English and very accommodating. Cuisine is superb as... More

We returned here again recently and found it as excellent as before. The staff are super kind and helpful, always willing to do the small extra things that make the stay perfect and that really makes a difference. Lovely rooms, beautiful gardens and perfect location - just a few minutes drive from the highway yet totally secluded in the middle... More

Very enjoyable place, with old world charm. Pricey but very nice restaurant. Friendly English speaking staff. Beautiful surroundings. No elevator (which should come as no surprise). In the middle of nowhere, so own car recommended.

Magical place, lovely staff! The whole stay was an experience I will never forget. Our room was superb and the decor is awe inspiring. There are dense woodlands abundant with wildlife and a picturesque lake on the doorstep.

Stayed in this hotel in the first half of August on the way to Croatia. It's very hard to find, especially in the dark, on the need to turn off auto him off the road E462. The hotel is very unusual - a medieval hunting lodge, located in a forest on the lake. The reception is open around the clock... More
