I don't have a problem with staying in hostels, as long as they are OK. Patron guest rooms are not very far from the city centre and it seems to me that it may be something important for those who want a cheap night close to the Old Town. Still, the rooms have seen better days and they are not... More

We were pretty desperate to find a place as many of the other places in our price range were already booked. The room was a bit run down and cramped, but it was clean. The tram into the old town was a short walk, and there is a little strip mall with a grocery store and fast food nearby. As... More

We booked to stay in Patron, then read the reviews and were slightly apprehensive about going. Upon arrival (after giving the taxi driver directions) we had a bit of difficulty getting in and ended up having to call the reception to let us in, after waiting around 10 minutes ringing the bell and wondering if we were trying to break... We drove into Gdansk and terrible trouble finding this place as there were a lot of road works going on. It is a guest house attached to a monastery. Church was in when we arrived and we couldn't find anyone to let us in. Eventually someone came and gave us a key and that was the last we saw of... More

Large, modern building with large windows; clean, quiet, spacious rooms with private baths. I loved that I had a table in my room to sit and work on my laptop, write postcards, etc... Patron is a ten minute walk from tram, and then 15min by tram to center of quaint old Gdansk. The walk to the tram is fine during... More

Stayed here with two mates at the end of March and I wish we had researched the Hotel Patron a little better!!!!! Arrived in Poland in the middle of night and had to wait outside for about 20 mins for somebody to come and let us in!! Owner did not speak a word of English and we were silently escorted... More

This hotel was shocking!!!!!! As a group of three young lads we were not expecting the grand hotel however we did expect at least some communication from the guy who runs the place. We didnt let it spoil our trp and just got on with it and got drunk which was what we essentially went to do!! The priest/vicar who... More

We travelled as a group of 14, 20-something brits on a stag do. This hotel was spot on! We booked a room for 6 and two rooms for 4. The beds were fairly comfortable, the rooms were clean and warm, the shower was excellent and everything worked as it should. And the biggest plus side was that it worked out... More

We went to this hotel and expected it to be a little basic, but basic isnt the word. It was horrid. By far the worst place I have ever stayed. On arrival the taxi drivers were laughing at us because of where we had been dropped off. It was in a very run down area. There was no reception. The... More
