I've been in this cute hotel with my husband, travelling with motobike. Everything was really perfect. Gotyk house is situated in our of most ancient streets in Danzica, Known as "amber street". It is quite calm during the night while during the day you'll have lot's of nice shops to go around. Rooms are small but very comfortable and welll... More

We stayed at Gotyk House on the weekend of 20th June - 23rd June 2014. The location of the hotel is fantastic and was really impressed on arrival in Gdansk. When booking the hotel through a booking website, it was requested that we had a double room. However, on check in, we were allocated Room 2, which is usually a... More

As I wrote in the title to this review, Gotyk house deserves its high rating in TripAdvisor and other travel guides if for no other reason than its incredible location in Gdansk's oldest surviving house, steeped in historical connections of a distinctly romantic nature, on Gdansk's most charmingly quaint Old Town street, less than a couple of minutes by foot... This is more like a B and B than hotel so don't expect full hotel facilities. Staff are helpful and will make tea and coffee on request. Breakfast isn't the best in Poland but adequate. Be prepared to hear street noise late at night as due to the age of the building there is no sound proofing but location, and... More

First off: if you're arriving by car, forget about this place. I tried parking with the "assistance" of a couple of members of the hotel staff. No luck. Go elsewhere. Otherwise, the place has large rooms with good-sized bathrooms. You're 5 mins away from the river and Mariacka St is right outside. Wifi is terrible.

My wife and I stayed recently in the Neptune Room. We had a wonderful stay and were warmly welcomed by the staff who spoke English well. The Neptune room was on the second floor (no elevator) and was facing the back lot and street running along Bazylika Mariacka. We had a great view of the city hall tower and the... More

Gotyk House is a very nice small hotel with a great location in the old city. Very clean and located in a very historic house ( Danzig's oldest, they say), the staff is super friendly, breakfast is good, and the value for money is very good. I would stay here again for sure.

We had a thoroughly lovely stay at the Gotyk. The location is excellent and the street is, as everyone says, very pretty. The rooms are nicely decorated and have more character than the generic hotel chains. The breakfast is basic but perfectly fine, with a selection of cold meats, cheeses and jams/preserves. For Wifi you will need to use the... More

We stayed here in Feb/March 2014. It's in a really good location on a lovely street and close to the river. The room was spacious with a very comfy bed. The bathroom was also nice with a good shower. Breakfast was basic but we didn't expect much-you can order it to your room also if you want. We stayed in... More
