This hotel is in a great location in Gdansk right along the water and about a five minute walk to Dluga Street and the Neptune Fountain. The hotel was clean and comfortable but the decor was uninspired, especially in the room. The furniture was rather plain. The air conditioner was not that strong if you like a chilly room. It... more

Stayed at Hanza for one night in June 2009, while on a business trip to Gdansk. The hotel is situated right in the center of Gdansk, with just a few minutes of walking to the historic sights. While the rooms were neat and clean, it was obvious that some paint would have worked wonders. Thus my only complaint would have... more

We had no strong complaints about this hotel other than the fact that it was significantly overpriced at over E200 per night. There was no porter available on arrival, no tourist information in reception (we were advised to go into town to the tourist information Bureau). The breakfast room lacked both quality & supervision. The general ambience of the hotel... more

I stayed at Hanza hotel during summer and that was one of the biggest problems. My friend and I were given a loft bedroom without air-con! And it was absolutely boiling hot, so imagine what we had to go through... Rooms are clean and tidy and beds quite comfy but the decor is not stunning. And for nearly EUR 200... more

We stayed two nights in early July. We chose a room with canal view which was nice, but very noisy. Our biggest complaint was temperature in the room. it was too hot and never comfortable for sleeping. While they rooms indicate they are air conditioned, it did nothing to cool the room. Alternatively opening the windows didn't help either as... more

I only stayed here one night, but am impressed so far. Very nice size room, especially for a European hotel. The bathroom is also a good size, complete with a bath tub. Large LCD screen television, but unfortunately only 1 English channel, BBC News! I had 2 twin beds pushed together to make a Queen size bed, very comfortable bed... more

the Hanza is a really mixed bag. Great location, right in the centre of the old town. the rooms are modern, clean and the beds very comfortable which is of paramount importance if you are staying for a long period (as i was) if you're lucky enough to get a river view room you will be treated to a great... more
