The price on the hostel's website was somewhat 30% lower than the one we were charged after coming there. I booked by a phone call and the receptionist felt no necessity to give us this information. Besides that, we wanted a double private room, and what we got was a dark claustrophobic attic room on 6th floor with 5 beds... More

We stayed two nights at Zappio with 18 students and 5 adults. Place was very clean and cozy. Lovely pub in the cellar and a super bartender! Very good service and excellent location. We also had a dinner at the hostels restaurant and that was also very nice. I can warmly recommend this hostel to families and friends if you... More

I visited the pub in the cellar once after some advice from a local, i must say this is one of the best places in Gdansk to have a drink, the range of beers was outstanding, all local beers, especially Amber, the wheat beer and Kozlak being my favourite. Also a wide range of cocktails and spirits, good whisky.. The... More

More like a budget hotel than a hostel this place was just great. Walking distance to the 'Amber Streets' shopping, Old town sights, close to waterfront. Very clean, room was basic but spacious. Shared bathroom, but we seemed to be the only ones on our floor. Breakfast was great. Mix of hot eggs, cold meats, bread, cheese, spreads, coffee and... More

It was the first time, we'd live in hostel (the most often we live in a hotels), but the impression wasn't bad, I really liked this place. Just one minus, because of good location in the old-town, there no special parking, just parking in the street, which cost 20pln per day (24h).

We stayed there in June and had an ensuite double room on the second floor. I recommend this hostel for people who normally don't stay at hostels. Absolutely clean, friendly service, Good breakfast. There was no noise, and the location couldn't be better. It's an old townhouse with no lift, though.

I spent 3 nights in Zappio hostel and I've really enjoyed that place. I got everything we need for a cheap price. The location is perfect, in the middle of the old town, close to the buses and the tram. The showers were nice and clean. The breakfast, the linen and the towels are included. There is a restaurant/bar the... More

I had not stayed in a hostel before and did not know what to expect. It was very cheap at 110pzl per night for a private room with bathroom including breakfast. The building is a tall town house and an example of "chabby chic" if you see what I mean. It had a kind of backpacker and Eastern European feel... More

We spent 3 nights with my wife and my 2 little children in this hostel, 150 Zl. per night. The hostel is located in an old city house closed to the river Vistula. We went there during dominikanten and it was everywhere busy and party, so it was very nice to stay in the old city. We had the highest... More
