OK folks, this is Brno, not New York or London or Frankfurt or Prague. It was cheap, it was central, it was a tad on the funky side with 1970's decor and no air conditioning. The staff was nice and spoke English and German as well as Czech. If you stayed away from the street side rooms, it was quiet... More

Excellent location. Good WiFi signal. Fair prices. Very simple breakfast. Enough if you are heading to town's center and restaurants. The hotel is old. The rooms are clean. But again such old facilities in the rooms or bathrooms made me feel a bit uncomfortable as maintanance is required. Some of the rooms and corridors have heavy odure of cigarettes or... More

Very old fashioned. The bathrooms would definitely need a refreshment (sink in brownish colour - looks like the early 70ties), carpet everywhere - we all know you can't keep them clean. No curtains to darken the room a bit = awake at 4 o'clock when the daylight enters your window. Buffet breakfast - very standard and boring. But it's very... More

Very spacy room, clean shower, bed linen snd everything else. Hotel has parking for extra pay. Staff was very friendly snd helpful. We have got sausages, omlet and many other different products for the breakfast. Unfortunately, it was too warm insde, and no a/c.

We went to Brno October 2014, and to Hungary, Bratislava. All the hotels but this one were great, some excellent! The Slavia has nice friendly staff and looks kinda impressive at first look. Where they let themselves down, is at breakfast. This is the only hotel where the fruit juice is additive full and not fresh, the coffee acting like... More

Coming in at half the price and for a double room too. £35 for a very spacious double room with a great shower, right in the centre of Brno and away from the train station crowd! It's a leisurely 10 min walk up through the main street were you can check out the excellent local bars and shops. It's actually... More

Old feeling but kind hotel right in the centre with tasty breakfast, funny room TV (not good watching from bed directly) and kind hotel staff. Worth of money? Hm, lets say yes. This hotel can't surprise you with something special but it doesn't really matter as you will be satisfied with a stay even on one night.

I dont have much to say. It is old and poorly furnished hotel. Location is good, close to castle by walk and also easy reach to the city center. What I remeber I was satisfied considering a price per night.
