I loved this hotel! It's right in the pedestrian zone in Brno. I just had to walk out the door and there were a dozen things to see and do within 5-6 minutes walk: a farmers market, about four different beautiful churches, a castle... I could go on. It was perfect since it made getting back to the room in... more

If you are looking for a Czech hotel run but Czech people this is a pretty hotel with bags of character. I spent a family weekend at this hotel and was generally impressed, clean and tidy rooms with high ceilings. A good bar with usual cocktails, reasonable priced. Breakfast is a little average but still fresh. Eating out Make sure... more

I have just spent 8 nights at the Hotel Ricc - & would certainly never go back. The reception is extremely smoky, the restaurant permanently empty & uninviting, the breakfast of a poor quality and the same dishes served day after day. The worst, however, are the rooms. I was originally in Room 408, which was pretty small and extremely... more

Great central location near cathedral and v quiet. Charming room with painted beams and stained glass window. Good breakfast. We did not eat in the restaurant but it looked good (though smoking allowed) more

I have stayed in the Grand Hotel and found it to be very ungrand. Now I have found the right place to stay. This is a delightful piece of history, very well refurbished and the rooms are very comfortable. All the usual toys for the business traveller and no doubt appropriate for romantic trip too. They will park your car... more

Having stayed at the Grand and the Best Western, I was looking for a decent hotel in Brno that didnt have too many "professional Ladies" in the bar, and that wasnt incredibly noisy. The hotel is just off the market square and is lovely, I stayed in room 307 which was really nicely decorated with a fabulous vaulted ceiling. The... more

We stayed in this hotel after spending 4 nights at their sister hotel U Pava in Prague. What a difference!! We booked a double de-luxe room in both hotels and expected the same standard of accomodation in each hotel (we realise that in old buildings there will always be some variation and always deliberately choose to stay in hotels with... more

We chose this hotel based on reviews on here and the lonely planet, this was in the middle of our honeymoon tour of the czech republic. I have to say I was disappointed. When we arrived we were given a room which had not been cleaned, ok this is an easy mistake, we went down to reception to say we'd... more

Stayed here in 2003 on a business trip. Beautiful hotel with the friendliest staff I have ever come across. The rooms are superb (stained glass windows and paintings on the ceiling) and the place has real character. The in-house restaurant was fantastic and the quality of wines / food was of a very high standard. This is basically one of... more
