A lovely hotel, right in the heart of Brno, within easy walking distance to the old centre. Can be a bit tricky to get to by car due to the traffic system if you are driving. Friendly staff. Tea/coffee brought free of charge to your room on request. Food good. I would stay there again. more

The hotel is really nice, and the location is ideal, right in the city center. The price though, is quite high for what you get, especially if you get one of the small single rooms. The hotel has accessto a fitness center, with pool, and also has a handy Avis rental desk. The staff is nice and courteous, and the... more

We recently stayed at the Hotel International on business. Clean hotel but old. Comparable to an average US hotel. Rooms are relatively large. Free breakfast buffet has everthing but the quality is average. Location is excellent though as it is next to the city center and you can walk to all of the shopping areas. more

I spent 3 weeks in this hotel in April 2008. I was there with my fiance, and while he went to work I stayed at the hotel and worked from my laptop. Wifi was decent. The room was small and stuffy. Very hot at night and we could not get the AC to help much. Leaving the window open just... more

After reading some of the tripadvisor reviews on the International and looking at the hotel's own website, I was a bit nervous about staying. However, I was very pleasantly suprised on my arrival. My room had been recently refurbished to a high, modern standard (great bathroom) and although some of the public areas look a little old fashioned by western... more

very smoky hotel. Went on business and pleasure, some staff were very nice, others rude. The only positive things for this hotel is that is right across from the castle and shopping area and they serve a free breakfast buffet in a non smoking area. Otherwise, I would not recommend this hotel to my friends. There is a pool and... more

I stayed here for business during a recent trade fair and thought the hotel was great. Friendly staff who all spoke very good english. My room was not one of the recently upgraded rooms but was very nice all the same. The upgraded rooms have lcd tvs, new bathrooms, double beds etc. It was very large and had a great... more

I often stay here on business if the AVANTI or CONTINENTAL are booked up, but I can also recommend this hotel for tourists. This hotel was once THE flagship hotel in Brno, many celebrities have stayed there, even HM the Queen (Elizabeth II) was here. Splendour and decadence, communist 60's style is what to expect, with a few pinches of... more

Stayed here for one night. Three stars is a fair rating. The room was clean, but quite small. The bathroom was tired. Breakfast was good. more

Great location, professional, helpful, friendly staff. The pool was small, with six people in, it seemed crowded, but large exercise room. Dining was average to above. I would recommend it. more
