I spent 3 days in Terezin, exploring the former ghetto and the small fortress. Hotel Memorial was apparently closed for the winter season (as was the other hotel in Terezin) but agreed to open for me. I was the only guest for this December stay. This is a surprisingly good quality hotel for such a bleak town. It seems that Terezin can never recover from being the place that became a Jewish ghetto and concentration camp under German occupation.
