We had the absolute best time in Prague. We stayed in an eight bed mixed dorm and everyone was lovely, and it was very secure and homely. It was fairly well clean; sometimes the bathrooms got a bit manky, but it really didn't phase us. One of the best things about this place was the location, we didn't need public... More

I've travelled plenty and my experience with hostels is somewhat limited! However my stay at the Old Prague Hostel was very enjoyable! It had bare basics and wifi was a tad patchy however the social atmosphere was really good! It's five minutes from the Town Square which makes getting around and seeing the sights very easy. Staff were very good... More

We stayed with a group of 6 in one room which was nice. There are lockers for everyone in the room. The kitchen was okay and the breakfast service was nice. The staff was very helpful and was always ready to help us to find our way around. It was a nice location because you can walk to everything you... More

The location is pretty prime - five minute was to old square max but beyond that this hostel is pretty basic. There is a full kitchen to make meals but the rooms are kinda of cramped and only one toilet for a whole cluster of rooms. But fairly cheap and you can't beat the location. The artwork on the walls... More

The hostel was very large, and it was slightly annoying that there were sometimes lines for the toilets but overall it was clean and convenient. More importantly it was a ten minute walk from old town square, and about five minutes from the jewish quarter. We walked everywhere and enjoyed every minute of it. I would recommend this hostel to... More

Myself and a group of friends visited prauge to have a look around and have a good time. Firstly the hostel is directly opposite a police station, this shouldn't be an issue but the hostel kept on reminding us of this and threatening us as well. Small practical jokes made within our group and causing no damage to anyone or... More

Found this on hostel world - best hostel of trip so far! Sociable, clean, friendly and great kitchen (and free breakfast!) also perfect central location! Very easy to book things through hostel and good for discounts! Definitely recommend the pub crawl!

They did not inform us that you must pay IN CASH IN CROWNS. All the dorms are ONLY mixed. They mess up their reservations. They do not have good service at their reception at all. Their power goes out. All in all, fine but HIGHLY UNHELPFUL AND UNORGANIZED. No laundry. Stay somewhere else if you can.

In comparison to other hostels, this one is great. Free breakfast- cereal and juice and they give you a sandwich for lunch to take with you. I had a 12 room doorm to myself the first 2 nights and then it filled up- mixed guests, so far none have been drunken idiots. The hostel decor is a little quaint and... More

We were a big group. The breakfast was really small, the staff not really helpful. We had 2 rooms for 9 people and it turned out they are just normal 8 people dorms ( when we asked about it they just added a matress on the floor - I thought than a 9-person dorm room is made for 9 people... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
