This hostel was very good, especially since we hardly paid anything to stay here! The staff was nice, the rooms and bathrooms were very clean, and we got free breakfast! The location is perfect as it is less than five minutes walk from old town square and it is surrounded by bars and restaurants. The hostel also has a partnership... More

Lovely welcoming dudes behind the desk: Justin, Aris, Pat, Stephanie - and of course the enchantress Grace from Dunfermline. Knowledgeable about where to go & how to get there not just around Prague, but elsewhere around Bohemia. (Not so knowledgeable about World & US capitals, but I'm just a sad pubquizzer.) Dorm was ok - though prone to late night... More

Stayed here for two nights in a dorm room which was spacious with good sized lockers. Staff were friendly and helpful and location was ideal. The hostel itself is old and is quite segregated so hard to meet people if travelling solo. Bathrooms weren't the best and people can drink and party until 11pm which was kind of annoying if... I was only staying in Prague a couple of nights and a friend recommended the Old Prague Hostel as it was a great place for travellers and great value for money. I have to agree with her that it is a fantastic place to stay. I arrived at around 12:30am and was met by a very welcoming and helpful man... More

Location is great, close by Old Town Square. However, Prague is small city. It is walkable with excellent and cheap public transport. Therefore, I don’t think the location is a significant competitive advantage. The decorations of the entire Hostel are nice. The hostel has 24 hour reception, the staffs are friendly and informative. You can also take brochures and maps... More

I'd say "Boutique Hotel" is a more apt description, as "hostel" is somewhat of an understatement. The charming and, quite frankly, PERFECT hostel ticked absolutely every single box of the required criteria necessary for a delightful and enjoyable stay. My trip to Prague was immensely enhanced by the Old Prague Hostel. The staff were friendly, helpful, tolerant (of my ridiculous... More

Sorry about m english. The hostel is a little old, but its comfortable. The staff was very nice and gave us all the tips about the best places to hang out, like shooting range, concentration camp, cabarets, restaurants... There are just a few showers and toilets, and they're small, but ok. The clean was ok too. There is an elevator... More

I have traveled to Prague now around half a dozen times. This is one of my favorite cities to visit in Europe! I have stayed in a few different backpackers in the city, however the Old Prague Hostel is by far the best I have had the pleasure of finding. The location, is literally a 5min walk to all of... Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
