Hidden away, you could easily walk past and not notice it. It's very small but in an incredible location, so close to Charles Bridge and Prague Castle, as well as a range of nice bars and restaurants too. It's nice because it doesn't feel too busy and you aren't constantly around hundreds of tourists so it's great if you want... More

The place was near Prague Castle and walking distance from Charles bridge. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a really helpful manager who told us about all the great sights to see and great places to eat. Then he helped us carry our bags to the top floor. We climbed a lot of steep steps (sorry,... More

We spent four nights in this quirky little hotel in Prague in September, 2013. We enjoyed our time there very much. The hotel is in a great location and on a very safe street. The Czech Parliament is on one end of the street and the entrance to the Czech Presidential Palace was at the other end of the street.... More

This is a very small hotel, easy to miss on this busy street. We got room no.9, right at the very top. The converted loft with the exposed beams, beautiful! Large, but no wardrobe. The en-suite is of the same fashion, with a very low pointed ceiling. Very quirky, but soon realised that all our showers would be on our... More

We stayed 6 nights in this hotel and enjoyed it very much: the team (naned and the owner), the room itself (nice furniture, spacious, very clean and quiet), the location, the terrace. It helped a lot appreciating the city. We highly recommend

I stayed here at the end of July 2013 with my boyfriend for a few days. The hotel has a great location which is in good walking distance for all the sites of Prague. The castle is just up the road from the hotel which is quite steep for people that may have walking difficulties (seek other methods of transport)... More

The management and staff made our party extremely welcome during our recent stay. There were eight of us, four of whom were in their mid-eighties. Nothing was too much trouble and we received service of the highest quality ranging from the reception staff to the ladies that serviced our rooms and the restaurant staff; all were pleasant and helpful. In... More

Stayed for 3 nights in July 2013. The owner Dragen took great care of us. The hotel rooms are laid out more like apartments with extra sitting space. Our room even had a small patio. The rooms are clean and the breakfast offered is a nice light way to start the day. The restaurant is located 5-10 minutes up the... More

Palace road has a great location away from the maddening crowds, quiet for sleeping, yet close to everything. It is across from the Castle 2 minutes from the Charles Bridge, near tons of restaurants, down the street from the monastery, who has great beer, and the Petrin where you can see all of Prague. The help was solicitous and friendly,... More

Hotel is in a superb spot in the emabassy region. It is a quiet area at night but its position is excellent for walking anywhere. It takes about 10 mins to reach the castle or Charles Bridge which is the opposite direction. The owner and staff was very friendly and happy to sort out airport transfers. Breakfast is served at... Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
