If you are into old, vintage furniture and high ceiling rooms in aristocratic houses, you will love the Small Luxury Palace in Prague. It is the definition of a boutique hotel. Situated on the Nerudova Street, right next to the Romanian embassy (that's how you find it, easier), 10 minutes walk from the Karol Bridge and probably 1 minute from... More

I stayed in the big room shown in the main photo and this room is great. Unfortunately I stayed in another room there and saw another room and they were small, no light, dusty and smelled like smoke. Pro: Central and reasonably priced. The reception staff seemed nice. High ceilings in some rooms. Con: loud street and thin walls, bed... More

Amazing location, Mala Strana area, cobbled streets and historic buildings. The hotel is on a street halfway between Charles Bridge and the palace, we did all our (four days) exploring on foot. A lovely, listed building. We had the entire basement flat, two large, king-size ensuites with a kitchen and living room. Staff were friendly and welcoming and we explored... More

Stayed here 2 nights the first week in July. Found the hotel to be conveniently located and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Weather was very hot. Our room on the ground floor was reasonable cool without air conditioning. Only complaint was that our dirty towels were not replaced on the second day of the stay.

The online photo was amazing. A red baroque room, dark, classic and sexy. I wanted to surprise my wife on our wedding night with a special honeymoon suite and whilst looking through the online offers via Booking.com and I saw a room being offered by Small Luxury Palace. So I booked it. The hotel emailed me and told me, **in... More

The hotel is a little hidden away so definitely check before you go where it is as you could easily walk past. The hotel was nice and light and clean. The hosts where very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and considering it was an Attic Room very light. The only reason I haven't given a 5 is because... More

Hidden away, you could easily walk past and not notice it. It's very small but in an incredible location, so close to Charles Bridge and Prague Castle, as well as a range of nice bars and restaurants too. It's nice because it doesn't feel too busy and you aren't constantly around hundreds of tourists so it's great if you want... More

The place was near Prague Castle and walking distance from Charles bridge. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a really helpful manager who told us about all the great sights to see and great places to eat. Then he helped us carry our bags to the top floor. We climbed a lot of steep steps (sorry,... More

We spent four nights in this quirky little hotel in Prague in September, 2013. We enjoyed our time there very much. The hotel is in a great location and on a very safe street. The Czech Parliament is on one end of the street and the entrance to the Czech Presidential Palace was at the other end of the street.... More

This is a very small hotel, easy to miss on this busy street. We got room no.9, right at the very top. The converted loft with the exposed beams, beautiful! Large, but no wardrobe. The en-suite is of the same fashion, with a very low pointed ceiling. Very quirky, but soon realised that all our showers would be on our... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
