It was okay... This four star hotel gets a 3/5. I found the breakfast was surprisingly very, very good after looking at the appearance of the hotel room. There is a wide assortment of food and drinks. The hotel room is clean, but really nothing special. Not to sound lazy, but carrying luggage to and from this hotel to I.P.... More

Stayed at this hotel for four nights at the be beginning of June for a stag do. We booked a room for three, cost us about £20 a night per person. The hotel is worthy of being four star, our room had air con, plasma TV, mini bar and some great black out curtains for when we arrived back after... More

Our hotel was a really nice place, a little far from public transportation (the I.P.Pavlova metro station-500m) but nonetheless o.k. The beds were very comfortable (we were in the Junior Suite) and the bathrooms were superb (almost like a five-star hotel). What stood out the most was, however, the continental breakfast. There were a wide variety of fresh pastries, bacon,... More

This hotel was a great base for our 4 night stay in Prague. Of course, we fell in love with the city. But, as far as the hotel, it was close to public transportation, it was clean, our room was spacious, and the breakfast was good. We did have one complaint - Prague is a party city, and it seems... I stayed here for a long weekend, Thurs-Mon. Overall this hotel is ideal for a short stay in Prague, it is well located for the popular areas and just a short walk from Wenceslas Square. The rooms are basic but clean, the breakfasts are excellent with a wide range of hot or cold meats, pastries, cereals and a range of... More

I had been told by quite a few people, before I ever even booked a ticket to Prague, that I would LOVE it -- well, I DID!! So much so that I am definitely considering a move there !!! To review the hotel Assenzio -- I'd have to say it was an overall GREAT experience in the hotel -- with... More

3 nights away. The rooms are not presented the same way as in the photos, you do not get wine, dressing gowns or flowers. A good walk from wenceslas square but we felt safe. Our first room was very small and only had a shower and looked out over the bin store. So we asked to be moved into a... More

Clean, comfortable hotel with extremely helpful staff and a great breakfast. Evgeniya was particularly helpful, and constantly assisted us with restaurant recommendations and tips for using the tram and metro. The hotel is close to restaurants and public transportation. We had a junior suite that was clean and spacious but rather plain and in need of some touch-up paint. We... More

Room was small, pretty basic. It wasn't very clean when we came. Did I mention sofa bed? Bathroom was fine. The metro station is about 10 minutes away (walk). So the hotel is not that close to the old town as you may think at first. Iron might be taken from the reception, but it was available only sometimes. Breakfast... More

Stayed in this hotel in December with our two adult children. The hotel was a 20min walk from the old town square. Not so close but the general area felt safe enough to be walking around late at night. Giulio was very professional and helpful in providing us with great hints for place to go to in and around Prague.... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
These are the origins of Assenzio Hotel in Prague: the careful restoration of this XIX-century palace was carried out by expert architects who were able to retain the original outer structure realized according to Prague’s traditional architectural style. Some inner patterns – such as the travertine staircase, the stuccoes which embellish both the hall and the ground floor and the brick cellar – are the most representative landmarks of this outstanding combination of ancient and modern architectural elements.Utmost passion and professionalism contributed to turn this Neoclassical building into a wonderful four-star hotel. ... more   less
