This hotel is right around the corner from the Old Town Square, which made it the perfect location for my family's 5-day vacation in Prague at Christmas time. From the hotel it's an easy walk to the holiday markets, Charles Bridge, Castle District, Jewish Quarter, State Opera, and many churches. The hotel is on a quiet side street and we... More

Hotel Dar is a small independent hotel in a back alley behind the old square in Prague. The approach is a little outputting with graffiti on one of buildings, and the lobby is extremely small, so the initial impression is that this would be OK for a couple of nights. But the personal service of the staff, its premier location... More

Hotel Dar was extremely charming. It's location, right in Old Town Square, was absolutely perfect. We could actually see the Astronomical Clock from our window. The staff was extremely helpful, and the rooms, while tiny, were clean and comfy. Only negative was having a really loud noise outside around 6am. Street cleaning perhaps? Definitely recommend.

Location is brilliant, just off the old square. We walked past in a couple of times as the front is just so small. Perfect hotel, room lovely good size, good choice for breakfast. Would definitely revisit

Me and my sister stayed here for 4 nights and it was just a very pleasant stay! Finding the hotel wasn't too much of a problem if you take the taxi from the airport since taxi drivers usually know the streets there. The location of the hotel was excellent! Its very central, just infront of the Astronomical Clock. Its located... More

We stayed 2 nights in Hotel Dar and it was one of our favorite hotels. The building and rooms are very well maintained. Breakfast was wonderful - our favorite hotel breakfast we had during our European tour. The eggs they had were delicious, it definitely wasn't just plain eggs. Also ham and sausages included, among many other options. We were... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
