Even though the location is perfect for sightseeing, it was impossible to find this hotel! We wandered around in circles for half an hour, asking anyone and everyone, before we finally found it. My true complaint lies with the service we received from the receptionist. Initially quite helpful, she encouraged us to go on a tour that would allow us... More

The best thing about this hotel we found was the friendliness of the receptionist working during the days. On arrival at the hotel she immediately presented us with a map and explained some tours that we might want to take. Very helpful when just arriving in a new city and we were also able to arrange a taxi through the... More

This is a boutique hotel in old town. I was here for four nights. It was my first time to Prague and the hotel arranged transport from the train station. I would never have found this on my own. The hotel staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, arranging for anything I needed such as tickets or pharmacy. The restaurant next... More

The location is perfect, right in the centre. It's very clean and comfortable. Staff is very helpfull. For 22 euros or 550 Chech crowns they picked us up from the airport, which we found very useful and fairly priced. The receptionist also booked us some tours and arranged us a discount. Breakfast is good, nothing fancy but definitely more than... More

The location in a backstreet just steps away from the Astronomical clock makes this a star. The hotel reception is super-friendly and helpful and the beds are really comfortable, (I slept really well there). As a solo female traveller I felt perfectly at home in this hotel. Loved hot porridge at breakfast in the cold of February!

This hotel is right around the corner from the Old Town Square, which made it the perfect location for my family's 5-day vacation in Prague at Christmas time. From the hotel it's an easy walk to the holiday markets, Charles Bridge, Castle District, Jewish Quarter, State Opera, and many churches. The hotel is on a quiet side street and we... More

Hotel Dar is a small independent hotel in a back alley behind the old square in Prague. The approach is a little outputting with graffiti on one of buildings, and the lobby is extremely small, so the initial impression is that this would be OK for a couple of nights. But the personal service of the staff, its premier location... More

Hotel Dar was extremely charming. It's location, right in Old Town Square, was absolutely perfect. We could actually see the Astronomical Clock from our window. The staff was extremely helpful, and the rooms, while tiny, were clean and comfy. Only negative was having a really loud noise outside around 6am. Street cleaning perhaps? Definitely recommend.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
