The Icon Hotel and Lounge in Prague is a thoroughly modern hotel in an historic building in a perfect area of Prague. The staff is young, energetic and very helpful. The rooms of beautifully designed (great beds!). And the spa is world class. Oh, did I say the prices were incredibly reasonable. Prague is a must visit destination and this... More

Icon Hotel is simply perfect. This is my fifth visit at this outstanding Hotel. I stayed during March for 5 nights and I really enjoyed my time there. This time since the management of the Hotel was kind enough to offer me an upgrade of my Room I stayed in a Junior Suite which was great. I loved the Suite... More

Stayed at the beginning of April for 3 nights. Breakfast was alright, nothing special. Rooms were clean, our package included upgrade to deluxe room subject to availability however were not offered the room at check in. instead we were put in the smallest room in the hotel! We requested to move the next day and were moved. A bit disappointed... More

Beautiful, modern and comfortable. The location cannot be any better, as you are five minutes away from the main attractions, except, of course, the castle, although there is a tram stop close by. Exceptional bed and good breakfast My only complaint would be the music coming from the bar downstairs. Apart from that, it was excellent.

very nice accommodations, very service oriented staff, nice breakfast available all day long, trams very close, they provided maps, This was towards the end of our trip and had a bath tub to soak our tired feet! I would definitely go back and recommend to others.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the ICON hotel. The reception staff were lovely - very attentive and helpful, giving great local recommendations for restaurants that the Czech's themselves would dine at. The hotel has a lovely interior, with very funky rooms. We booked through Secret Escapes with a complementary upgrade if available, and were upgraded to a suite complete... More

I and my wife booked this hotel for my wife's birthday after reading through reviews on Trip Advisor. I have to say that the reviews are spot on. This hotel is amazing in so many ways. We arrives very early on Sunday morning after a early flight from the UK. The hotel was very welcoming and even better they let... More

My friend and I stayed here for two nights from Thursday 19th March to Saturday 21st march. Upon arrival we were greeted by some incredibly welcoming staff who made us feel right at home, showing us the best places to eat, tourist attractions and even offered us DVD's to watch in the room too. We stayed in a standard double... More

This hotel is close to everything! It's a anonym door but when you've stepped in you'll be amazed by the standard. Best part is Hästens beds, which is from Sweden (as I am!). Beds from heaven! There is a nice tapas restaurant in the same building as the hotel and their sangria is worth a visit!

Great hotel in a great location. Room was very nice and spacious. Breakfasts were amazing, all the stuff you would expect plus a choice of superb omlettes. Location was in a good part of town close by to the tourist hotspots but out of the way enough to be away from crowds. Many pubs and restaurants in the area. We... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
