The Icon is an absolutely wonderful hotel. Before the trip I had injured my ankle, so I was worried about getting around. But happily we picked the Icon--walking distance to the bustle of all the tourist attractions, yet in a quiet less touristic part of the City that my husband and I loved. The rooms were comfortable, stylish and clean.... More

We had a 4 night break in Prague and opted for the Icon. This hidden gem is well worth a visit. Rooms are modern and spacious, the complimentary breakfast is excellent and the staff are polite and very helpful. The hotel is situated very close to Wencelas Square and to the Metro, Tram and Buses, making it ideal base to... More

We stayed 5 nights at this hotel. I like the minimalist decor, the helpful and friendly staff, the wifi and the breakfast. The free DVDs is good as there were only CNN and BBC channels we could understand. The rooms facing the street was noisy with pedestrian traffic due to the ice hockey matches currently on.

Had a pleasant two night stay at the Icon hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was modern, clean with spacious room. A bit funky hallways with different colored neon lights outside the different rooms. The breakfast was included and was served during the whole day. So no need to get up early in the morning. The... Loved staying here. Very trendy, the price is reasonable and it's a great location. Very easy to walk to/from old town but your just outside of the main area. Nice bar, breakfast and it's very convenient to everything we wanted to visit. Wenceslas square and Old towm square are right outside your doorstep. I've recommended this hotel to friends and... We stayed here in February as a group of 3 couples - fantastic hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful - they recommended all the restaurants that we ate in (all were fantastic). Breakfast is served until very late which suited us perfect - homemade pancakes were delicious. Lovely cocktails in the bar and all so reasonably priced. Will... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
