This is very late but wanted to share our stay in Prague at Botel Matylda. This is a great place to stay as it is very close to most of the action in Prague but gives you a bit of a quite place on the water. There is a bus stop right on the corner across from the hotel so... more

Visited the matylda for an evening meal - absolutely delicious meal with excellent service. Lovely location on the river and easy to get to - no 17 tram stops just outside. The waiters couldn't do enough for us - even gave me a blanket to keep warm whilst enjoying a last drink on the terrace. Would not hesitate in going... more

We loved every minute of our stay at Botel Mytilda. The boat has been really well restored - lots of rich, sturdy wood that creates a lovely warm atmosphere. The restaurant serves great food, reasonably priced and with very attentive service. The candles and low lighting make for a cozy atmosphere on a cold night. I imagine that it would... more

Only 7 rooms below deck of an Italian Restaurant - directly across from The Dancing House (Fred and Ginger building). Rooms are small, but comfortable. No phone, but had Satellite TV - though I had trouble finding english-language programming. Free wireless Internet. Breakfast topside every morning was a treat (included), and the dinner/wine selection in the evening was excellent! A... more

If you're looking for a hotel with big rooms, then don't stay here. If you're looking for a "short stay" hotel that is very clean, has comfortable rooms (even if they're a bit on the small side) and offers great service, then Botel Matylda is perfect. Only five minutes walk from the Charles Bridge, and less than ten minutes to... more

If you are thinking about booking the Botel Matylda, you have to understand that this is really a Bed and Breakfast with a restaurant overhead. This is not to take issue with other reviews on this page; the staff are nice, the room is clean, the location is great and the restaurant is good, if expensive. There is no phone,... more

I just got back from a two week vacation in several European cities and I want to say this hotel was my absolute favorite! The Matylda is a new boat so the cabins are well designed and immaculately clean. The whole boat is paneled in mahogany?.. which makes you feel like you are a guest on someone's vintage yacht. The... more

As long as you aren't fussed about a large room, this place is as near perfect as possible. An easy walk to everywhere that matters, good quality accommodation, pleasant staff, decent food (breakfasts and evening meal sampled) and very reasonable rates compared to other places around. Fears of seasickness and insects were unfounded, simple transfer from airport by public transport... more

Well situated for all of the city's sights. Moored right next to the dancing buildings. A tram ran outside but seemed to be closed due to road works the nearest stop was less than 5 walk. 10 mins walk to the main bars/ restaurants etc but plenty of places nearby Easy 5 min walk from tube station which linked to... more

This hotel was an amazing find! We couldn't be more pleased with our choice. It was our first time in Prague, and going in to stay in a boat, we were expecting to give up some comfort for the sake of the experience. This wasn't the case at all. Everything was very clean, and although both the room and bathroom... more
