Great hotel, clean and comfortable. Convenient location, within 15mins walking to most of the old town famous spots. 5mins to train station where can also catch express bus to airport, can save heaps on transport. Staff were very friendly and helpful, gave us good advice for restaurants as well. Very pleasant stay. If come back to Prague, will like to... More

After travelling 7 hours to get to Prague we arrived at the hotel to be told that our room was unavailable due to a water leak. Hotel Sovereign put us up in another hotel for 2 nights and we were pretty weary about returning for the remaining 2 nights. But we are so glad we did! The hotel is beautiful,... More

I arrived Prague by train and was pleased to find the hotel just 5 mins walk around the corner. The hotel is newly renovated in an old building. The advantage is high ceiling and reasonable spacious. The bed is too soft for me because I prefer bedding with better lumbar support. The bath room lighting is too dark. The quality... More

From the minute I arrived at the Sovereign Hotel that evening, the staff was so nice and accommodating. The staff was so willing to help with anything I needed including where to find places and printing off my flight ticket. My room was so awesome and quiet. It was kept clean each day and so was the bathroom with welcoming... More

The room was very clean. The air conditioning unit was noisy and as we were on the top floor it was hot at night. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. We could walk to all the main sights and the shops were nearby. Good value for money.

We spent six nights in hotel Sovereign. The location was good, but not perfect if you want to be just a few steps away from all the major sights. The area was quiet and peaceful, though, and really close to the main railway station. We were first given a single room instead of a double room, but the mistake was... More

We recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We chose the hotel because it is close to a major metro station and this was great as it is only a few minutes to walk. The hotel is old but our room was very clean and comfortable - we had a room overlooking the street which we enjoyed. The windows... More

If you are planning to take rail trip to nearby towns, this will be a good pick, just 5 min walk from railway station yet the key tourist spots are within walking distance. Service and breakfast are all good. Staff are genuinely friendly, not only helped us to book restaurants but recommended few more choices to us when the one... More

We stayed at this hotel ( family of four) which is in a central location, near to Wenceslas Square, and has easy access to all sights within the city. The hotel was clean, and staff were extremely friendly. Good breakfasts, with lots of choice. Despite being central, the hotel was quiet and also has a wellbeing centre - spa, and... More

I recently stayed here for 3 nights with my wife whilst visiting Prague and was surprised at how good it was particularly bearing in mind the reasonable price. The reception we got was very warm and friendly, the staff spoke good English. They allowed us to check in early (we arrived at 9.30am) and the room was beautifully clean and... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
