My partner and I stayed at the hotel From the 1st-4th February 2016 in room 206. An extremely dissapointing incident spoiled my stay at the hotel and put a downer on my visit to Prague. When we left the room for lunch I left an item of jewelry on the table in my room amongst some of my other possessions,... More

A little small, but perfect if you have only a little baggage. The terrace on the roof \ top floor is beautiful Breakfast was lovely with many choice of food. and the... More

Great hotel, very clean. Lovely location. Would recommend for large groups. We were a large group of men and had no problems. Well looked after. Close to everything. Bars, shops the square. Breakfast good. Try it.

Whoever has given this hotel such good reviews must be from another planet, we walked past it twice thinking it was just a rather unexciting coffee bar, which in some respects it was being open to the public in the daytime. The rooms were small, the view of Tesco opposite not terribly desirable, the breakfast was uneventful and seemed to... More

Pleasantly greeted on arrival and check in was easy and efficient. We chose the hotel mainly on the location, as everything we wanted to do and see was within walking distance making life so much easier! Although there are Tram and bus stops over the road should you need it. The room was adequate enough, clean & tidy, with a... More

On arrival room was not available till the next day . They took us to their sister gave us a free evening meal for 4 . That sorted it out well. Metropole is clean and a good location ideal for exploring Prague . Breakfast could have a little better

A great budget hotel to use as your base to explore the city. As first time visitors we really couldn't fault the location as it is walking distance to most points of interest - completed by tram and metro stops just over the road. Housekeeping were great, providing a daily room clean. Breakfast was also great for the level of... More

The hotel is well located in the centre of the city minutes walking distance from the main square, shops and train/tram stations. The elevator system did make us laugh as it took us almost 10 minutes to figure out that our card key is to be used for the elevator to move. The rooms are clean and well sized. The... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
