We stayed with pleasure, staff was friendly, the cleanliness and design of the rooms were great. 10 min of walk to the main square, breakfast was poor, but tasty. Reception was helpful and polite. The best rooms are on 8-th floor facing the old city ( not Narodny !!!)

We stayed here for a long week end in Prague. It's close to the center, reasonably priced and has the minimum you need in a touristic journey. Top floors give nice roof view. Don't expect anything extra which actually is not needed from this city hotel.

It's all about Location, Location, Location! just across from the metro! There is a Tesco, A Paul, Costa coffee! You are in heaven!!! we walked everywhere and great connections with the trams, short walk from Old Town, Castle, Charles Bridge and fantastic cafe's and restaurants. We had 2 rooms at the back on the 3rd floor. They were compact however... More

There are lots of positives. Firstly has to be location, location, location. Ideally situated for Old Square, Wencelas Square, etc. Just round corner from tram and Metro so useful if visiting Prague Castle. We upgraded to a Superior Room on the 7th Floor as larger and quitter. . The Superior Rooms are averagely sized and very modern but comfortable. You... More

In the famous old town we found this modern hotel that fulfilled all our expectations of our visit in Prague. Location of the hotel is perfect for the tram up to the castle and walking distance to the famous bridge.

The location was good, close to the old town, near by the Charles Bridge. However, the experience of the service there was not as pleasant as one would expect. We really didn't understand why the hotel employees were so proud and arrogant that they just couldn’t look at us while they spoke to us. We had one castle view room... More

The photos we saw of the hotel before we went were not representative of the hotels appearance. Staff are friendly but not massively helpful. The rooms were basic with a much to be desired red shag pile carpet. The breakfast selection was poor. Not recommended for couples looking for a trendy hotel.

I stayed at The metrapol this week. My room was on the 4th floor next to the lift ( Which did not disturb me at all) The room is a perfectly good size, clean other than a suspect looking stain on the carpet by the door. The shower was really powerful but leaked really badly! Beds were comfy and clean.... More

Beautiful view over Prague from the terrace and the top floor rooms facing the old town (but we had a room facing a mall with no view on the top floor on the other side so if the view is important, make sure you get a room on the right side). The rooms were tiny but well equipped and very... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
