We have decided, that we want to see Prague in kind of low-cost trip. Our hotel was very nice, tidy and with smiley and helpful service. The Golden Horse House is located near every monuments and places you have to visit in capitol of Czech Republic. Price for 4 night was quite low. We have to leave hotel room at... More

My partner and i have just had 5 nights at golden horse house, it is a short walk from the castle, a short walk to charles bridge and then on to wenceslas square or astronomical clock square, if you are elderly or infirm then this is not the place for you due to the gradient of the hill back from... As others have mentioned, location is really good - perfect for enjoying the romantic castle neighborhood but thankfully far from noisy tourist herds. Alex's mom was very helpful with our transfers to/from the airport. Just be ready for: 1) the steep hill 2) no elevator so if you have an issue with stairs then request a lower floor (room 10... We've just come back from a 3 night stay at the Golden Horse. It has a great location near the castle and with lots of shops, bars and decent restaurants nearby. The guesthouse itself is definately that, a house with a few rooms and they will give you the keys to enter the property as reception is not open after... More

We stayed 1 night here and stayed in a room on the first floor which was essentially bunk beds built into wooden support beams. Very cosy but recommend if you go june/ summer minths to get a low floor room as we viewed one on the top floor and it was swealtering! Shower was the only complaint as the door... More

I stayed 2 nights along with 2 friends and we had such a wonderful time. Lovely wee apartment room with basic kitchen. Ideal location to town and tram. If you want to experience European life this house is just how I imagined. Friendly staff and very clean.

The hotel situated perfectly in Mala Strana, very close to the castle and in a quiet and picturesque neighborhood. If you are in good shape, the walk up the hill is no big deal. The rooms are average. Bed was nice, the bathroom very basic and with a broken hairdryer. After telling the staff about it, it was NOT fixed.... More

It's my second visit to Prague and second stay at the hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is just a walk away from the most popular landmarks in Prague, yet the price was amazingly low. About 100 meters up the street you can walk through a romantic park and have a drink at a nearby Kafe'.

The location is really GREAT!!! Very central!! Quiet area, 10 min from the city centre (from the famous Charles Bridge), 3 min from the castle on foot. The owner is very kind. The hotel taxi service is really very good! This B&B is really good value for money: the bedroom was simple but fully equipped. Breakfast simple and good.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
