Does not deserve one star. It was like walking into a horror movie. We arrived before the nominated check in time. We were told to wait in the common area. We walked in to a room where it looked like a hang out for Zombies. The atmosphere was, well, non existent. It was horrible. We managed to check in, only... More

The rooms are not clean. The beds and the furniture are old and in a very bad shape, beds are not confortable at all. Bathrooms are disgusting. Two bathrooms for the whole floor (4-5 rooms of 10-12 people each). The staff is not friendly at all. It took 1 hour to do the check in. Plus, I had to pay a... More

The only good thing about his hostel is its location. The staff is not friendly at all. The wifi totally sucks. The bathrooms are TOO small. There are only two showers for floor (at least 3 rooms of 4 people on every floor) and they are very very very dirty. The building is too old and dark; the kitchen is... More

Stayed here for a stag do... its fair to stay that the beers helped with the sleep, not the cleanest place in the world but its a hostel so what do you expect for paying peanuts! The bathroom was broken and pretty run-down. close to the old town.

We choose this place because of it's proximity to the Old Town and the main touristic attractions. For that, no complaint, everything was walkable. But, to be honest, I would not recommend no matter how close it was from main attractions. This place is filthy. I've been to hostels before (lots of them are not squeaky clean, but still okay)... I stayed here a few nights when backpacking around Europe. Really liked it. The rooms have lots of space and lockers and a decent bathroom. The communal kitchen was also useful. It was very good value for money and the staff were really helpful. Everywhere we went was in walking distance so I'd say it's a good location too.

My first day in Prague became a nightmare. I checked in to Chili hostel. They had friendly staff and they helped you with a citymap and showed you where to go. Thumbs up. But you have maaaaaaaaad bedbugs. I booked three nights, ended up staying for one. Had to get to another hostel. Because bedbugs are disgusting. And the kitchen... More

Honestly we didnt expect too much but we were looking for something cheap with good location. I traveled with my friends so we booked private room for four people and were absolutely satisfied. We didnt spend too much time at hostel, since we were mostly in the city center but the hostel offered everything what we needed. The rooms were... More

Friendly and helpful staff were welcoming us in great located Chili hostel. We spend there 2 nights in nice room. The only disadvantage was shared bathroom (almost all the time occupied:) ) We appreciated equipped kitchen and common room.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
