We booked this hotel online, very last minute and after reading some of the reviews I was extremely nervous at what we would get when we turned up. I can honestly say that I was extremely happy with our large room! The room was massive, very clean and extremely modern. The location of the hotel is amazing! I would say... More

We stayed at Thalia for 3 nights during our trip to Prague and were very pleased. The location and price were what stood out the most, and it certainly was a very affordable hotel right in the heart of the city. Clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and a sufficient breakfast were all an added bonus. Highly recommended.

This is a very old property which is typical of many of the better tourist neighborhoods but it was elegant and remodeled into a very modern property. The price was very good for the class of hotel in our opinion and the only thing I will warn you is although they advertise parking is available included in the price in... More

The Thalia Hotel is beautiful located on Narodni street, very close to the old city centre and on the other side 150 meter from the Moldau river. Most of the staff members are very young, they look like trainees from a hotel school but they are friendly and helpfull. The breakfast is outstanding. The building itself has a nice atmosphere.... Wonderful location. Really close to the old town (astronomical clock etc) about 5-10mins walk. Trams run right outside. Some super cheap bars dotted down the back streets and plenty of shops and places to eat. Hotel is well decorated and room size was fine. However based on my first nights sleep it would have got 1* . We had room... More

It's a shame that European hotels to get 5 stars all they have to do is to have spa and gym (in this case tiny room with few weights). We were looking for some luxury but got an average hotel. It needs some maintenance, the carpets look dirty and you can clearly notice scratches and wallpaper coming off in the... More

The hotel has a good location. Nice and friendly staff. The buffe breakfast was very good, with plenty of everthing. Good value for money. There was only one armchair in a doubleroom....We will definetively be back.

We found a discount and stayed there for the price of a much smaller room at a cheaper hotel but had the most amazing experience. First of all, it is in a great location (very close to the old town but not noisy at all). We stayed there for 4 nights, the room was gorgeous, we had a large skylight... More

Nice three (not five at all) stars hotel in a good location and quite a good breakfast. Cleaning quality average, late check in, kitchen closes early in the evening. And no dressing mirror. TV is also pure and no entertainment channels, even radio.

The hotel has attentive staff with great service. Other wonderful pluses: fast free WiFi, wide breakfast selections with family friendly hours of operation, updated bathrooms, comfortable beds and pillows, walking distance to many sites of interest, bathroom amenities, responsive climate control on demand, and affordable. Some minuses: furniture is worn, lack of decoration, worn wallpaper, some ceiling water damage, no... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
