Definitely, the best thing about this hotel is the location. Situated on the grounds of Strahov monastery, you don't have any traffic in front of your windows. Travellers arriving by car: don't hesitate to drive right through the gate of the Strahov monastery! The bollard will be lowered after ringing the bell (right hand side) so that you can pass.... I have stayed in over 10 properties in Prague, and of all of them (even stays for double the price) this was my favourite and I was already planning my next visit as I departed. There are so many things to recommend this hotel, but at the forefront is the exceptional receptionist, Andrea, who went way above the call of... More

We stayed at the hotel for 5 days in july. The rooms are quite large with a really comfortable bed, nice bathroom including a bath, tea and coffee making and a tv. The only criticism we had was the fact that the storage space is very small, If you took lots of clothes most would have to stay in your... More

My wife & I plus another couple stayed 2 nights in this wonderful small hotel. It is ideally located near to Prague Castle and has fantastic views over the Old Town. The rooms are small but comfortable; no air-con but wasn't needed. The nearby brewery and restaurant are an added bonus. Free Wi-Fi works well. Breakfast choice is excellent. Highly... More

We stayed here two nights, amd it was a pretty satisfactory stay. There's no A/C, but the fans and the cool nights kept the rooms at a comfortable temperature. The breakfast buffet has a good variety of filling options.

My wife and I recently spent a most enjoyable week at the Residence Monastery, which had been recommended highly to us by an Austrian friend with extensive travel experience in western and central Europe; we strongly second her high recommendation. It is a small, comfortable, and exceptionally friendly hotel, the ideal place for travelers who (like us) do not need... More

I really loved this place. The price was fantastic, and the location on the grounds of Strahov Monastery couldn't get much better. The view was unbelievable. It was right above Prague Castle, and the view of the rest of the old town was also great. The way the room was laid out was also interesting. The bathroom and a small... More

We stayed 2 nights, service was great, as well as accommodation and overall location. We payed for Standard double rooms, but were offered to upgrade to DeLuxe rooms for no extra cost ^_^ Receptionist was lovely, helped in any way she could. Really enjoyed the stay, will come back again :-) The location is superb, right next to the Prague... More

Last weekend me and my family visited Prague. Our choice of hotel was Monastery, and we did not regret. Cozy rooms (1 4-p and 1 2-p), clean, nice bathrooms, good wi-fi. Very quiet area. Friendly and excellent staff. I did not what kind of breakfast we could expect (as I knew it was a little hotel), but got very positively... More

The location is good - away from the busy town centre but easy on 22 tram. It was not so easy to find the place when we arrived after dark. I found the staff to be very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was excellent. I was first placed in an attic room which I found claustrophobic because of the sloping... More
