This is a beautiful little hotel based on the edge of Prague near the Strahov Monastery hill. The monastery is on the same grounds as the hotel. The room was quite spacious compared to most European hotels and it was overlooking some serene looking orchards. It was very quiet, sleep was wonderful. Stepan at the desk was extremely helpful and... More

Andrea has been there 10 years she told us and it shows. She is super friendly and efficient. We have been away for 7 weeks and stayed in many Hotels but our experience with Andrea stood out overall as the best. Thank you Andrea. The Hotel was super special too. Something completely different than any other we stayed in, a... More

we had a 3 night reservation but the 1st night they gave away our room. So, they put us in a 2nd floor (in the US that's the 3rd floor) that was the size of a walk in closet (no exaggeration) with the bath and a desk on the 2nd (3rd) floor and the bedroom up a ladder to the... More

We arrived at night (about 22:00) after a long flight just to meet with a closed door and a microphone telling us to take the keys to our room from some envelope hidden. There was no elevator, nor air conditioning and really no one to welcome us or hear our complaints. In the Internet it said that this is a... More

First of all: this is a wonderful hotel. It is a small one, maybe 20 rooms. The staff are very attentive and so nice, they help you with everything and really put in an extra effort. The hotel have a very nice little garden where you could have your breakfast, and that also have an amazing view over the city.... More

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. I suppose I'll start with the only negative, which was that it was slightly hard to find. We got to the monastery easily but outside the hotel it said 'Monastery Residence' whereas we were looking for 'Hotel Monastery'. Once we had found the right place it was all rosy. Not much to... I wish I could give this hotel 10 stars! It's honestly one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. My husband and I are on our honeymoon and could not have picked a more romantic place to stay. Stephan on reception was so accommodating and lovely to deal with, as were the rest of the staff, they really wanted... More

We stayed at the hotel for four nights. The hotel is in a great location overlooking Prague and is about a twenty minute walk to the Old Town and to Charles Bridge. The grounds of the hotel were nice with benches to sit on and stare at the view. At first we were a little bit disappointed in our room... More

This hotel is located near the Strahovsky klaster, so you have to walk up the hill from the Charles Bridge. However, the view from the room window is wonderful, you can see the Prague Castle, especially in the early morning with sun. And the hotel staff is very friendly. I had a lot of good useful information. Thank you!

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
