The Mandarin Oriental Prague is situated in a quiet neighborhood but is just steps away from the historic Charles Bridge. The hotel itself comprises historic structures. The spa, for example, is in a handsome space that was once a chapel. So you get a great mix of Mandarin Oriental amenities and services, combined with the distinctive feel of a great... More

Extremely comfortable beds, great food and service in a very good location Well equipped gym and friendly and helpful staff The boardroom has no natural light but other than that, the hotel was great.

There is reassurance in using a know hotel chain, particularly when it comes to luxury brands. The Madarin Oriental in Praha is what you would expect and a tad less. Nested in an old building next to Kampa park, it welcomes you in a beautiful courtyard surrounded with quintessential old Praha edifices. One holds the Spa, the other the hotel.... More

We spent four wonderful nights at the Mandarin Oriental in Prague. Our room was very spacious, really comfortable and opened up to the outside garden which was a great attribute to have. The staff were very customer service-oriented, accommodating and were extremely helpful in guiding us to sights, restaurants and answers to all sorts of other questions. The hotel is... More

Mandarin Hotel in Prague THE PLACE TO BE! Magnificent hotel, perfect room, the breakfast buffet is amazing and you can eat inside or on their lovely terrasse. Beautiful architecture, excellent accommodation and services as you would expect at a Mandarin Oriental. The historic (old monastery) building and better location on the less busy side of Charles Bridge made it all the more pleasant and charming. I would happily go back and stay there anytime.

Cant comment on the hotel in general as have just but arrived and was appalled to find that the window in the room is tiny - the size you would find in a cell. Very unappealing dark airless environment.

It was a good experience overall. The terrace outside is very calm and enjoyable during summertime. The dishes are cooked with finesse and though the service is a bit long, it was worth it. The desserts are Good too. Try also the cocktails : they're very creative and surprising!

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
