I liked this hotel very much, luxury touch, great service! Very warm welcoming! Great service! Great location, instructions from the staff where to go, what to see. I wish I have tried spa treatments.

Loved the location and ambiance of Mandarin Oriental. We enjoyed being on this side of the Charles Bridge. This restored monastery has been beautifully restored and is a luxury hotel. We did the B&B rate and the breakfast was excellent.

Decided to stay at the Mandarin Oriental due to its location in a very quiet and historic area of the city, while still being minutes away from the Charles Bridge tourist area. The property never felt crowded, noisy or chaotic, just private and serene, very befitting of its former life as a monastery, and very appreciated at the end of... More

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for 4 nights. The service surpassed expectations, as well as the room. They upgraded me to a Jr Suite, which was an amazing space. The room was bigger than most people's apartments! The architecture was beautiful and the decor was elegant. It's in a great location, walking distance to many sites.... More

We got a great deal online for 3 nights for the price of 2 so snapped up staying here. We are fans of the Mandarin group and the Prague hotel did not disappoint. Firstly the location is brilliant about 5 minute walk to Charles Bridge but its tucked away enough so its quiet and peaceful. The room was typical from... More

Having previously stayed at other Mandarin Oriental properties we knew what too expect ! We had an absolutely perfect stay here. The hotel is wonderfully situated (in a quiet street) for all the tourist sights. The architect and builders who carried out the renovation from a monastery to a five star hotel deserve an award ! The staff were fantastic... More

We had the most fantastic stay at the Mandarin Oriental. The hotel staff were so accommodating as well as pleasant. The doormen and concierge were very helpful. Excellent location, in a very calm street, just corner away Charles bridge with crowds of tourists (but they don't bother you at the hotel, very calm place), great helpful staff, nice breakfast, very good wi-fi (not free) . Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
