What a location. Just WOW! A very old building with rooms with many original style elements. The atmosphere is equally 'relaxed' as 'local' as 'quality'. The room/suite we had was very large with a very good bathroom. It was very clean and service was good. We are very experienced travellers with high standards and have been to Prague before, but... We really enjoyed our stay at Lokal Inn. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The beer was great and the food was good. The hotel is very close to the Charles Bridge. I would return to this hotel if I return to Prague.

My love of Prague began when I first entered Lokal Inn. Jana - at the front desk - could not have been more welcoming and she stayed that way for the three nights I stayed there. The Inn at one point had been a monastery...and while it was old, it was very well tastefully refurbished. I only wish that there... More

We spent 4 nights at the Local Inn. It doesn't get any better than this. The room (25) was superb - separate living room and bedroom, very comfortable bed. The decoration was superb. Food in the restaurant - the best in town - my favorite was smoked beef tongue. Breakfast was great. The restaurant is very busy every night, make... More

The upper floor room was very comfortable and quiet. Next to the Charles bridge convenient for the old city. Service excellent and very helpful staff on reception. Good beer brewed on the premises but is very busy in the evening

We enjoyed our stay at the Lokal Inn very much. We (my partner, her mother and I) booked a suite which had a large living area and a large separate bedroom with an enclosed balcony. The room had a lot of character and felt more like an apartment than a typical hotel room. We all started the day out with... More

Hotel is located 2 mins walk from St Charles Bridge, so great location to see all the sights. I stayed in deluxe room (number 24) and it was very nicely appointed, spacious and quiet. The bed is incredibly comfortable in terms of mattress, pillow and sheet quality. The let down was service at breakfast - we arrived 930-ish both mornings... More

My friends and I stayed here 2 nights and it was our best stay of any hotel on our 10 day trip. The staff greeted us with open arms and were so extremely helpful with directions, advice, and suggestions for things to do and places to eat in Prague. The food is also amazing! We would order drinks from downstairs... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
