Great hotel, awesome staff and fantastic beer. The Lokal Inn has it all. Ambience, prime location and a real feel of Prague. We loved our stay here. Comfortable bed, large room, good traditional Czech food and 50 meters away from Charles Bridge. What more could you wish for? Perfect stay

I loved the inn. The room was huge and it is a perfect location. The one bad point was the car service they employed to get me to/from the airport. Unfortunately, the driver did not pick me up from the airport. And the driver who was to bring me TO the airport on my last morning was late and very... More

We stayed at the Lokal Inn, the room was spot less and the bed so comfortable, the water in a glass jug,in the room was only topped up on arrival, no other day, and we expected it to be, as there are no tea all coffee facilities in the room,we were on the top floor, facing the side of the... More

This is the kind of place that you like more the longer you stay. When I first arrived and walked into the hotel, I was underwhelmed. There is no lobby to speak of, just a front desk. The place really is an inn -- pretty rustic, e.g., no elevators. But its charms reveal themselves slowly -- the rooms are quite... More

The Lokal was just what I was looking for - a small hotel in a wonderful location. The rooms were great, very clean, very comfortable beds and nice linens. Good Wi-fi. The staff was helpful. The restaurant on the first floor is popular so its always busy and that creates a festive atmosphere. The Inn is right around the corner... More

My super wife and I stopped for a beer this afternoon and had sausages with mustard and horseradish and dill potato soup. Very good. Last night we tried to get in at about 1900 hours. No luck. Be sure to have a reservation even for week nights. Lots of people great food and BEER.

wasn't sure what to make or it as I entered as it doesn't have the grand entrance and reception I'm used to however I was greeted by the lovely Yana on the reception desk. I found her to be very friendly with very good English. Checking in was quick and easy and was very helpful about information I needed to... More

I was told by my hostel guide to dine in this place. I should have made reservations before visiting. Thankfully, I got a table which was reserved for a later time. It would be great of you take a localite with you. Fried Champignon and tartar sauce with baked potato. It was delicious. Lokal Inn is very close to Charles... More

Room was clean and adorable. Location fantastic right near Charles bridge. Front desk very helpful. Free breakfast good but not a lot of variety. Beer tour offered by hotel very interesting and learned a lot about Pilsner. Very busy restaurant and bar at night. No noise in the room. Great bathrooms. Would stay again!

This is one of the best stay in Europe ever!. The place is absolutely gorgeous and the location just excellent. Just around the corner from Charles’ bridge and near all amenities and restaurants. The room are spacious, breakfast consists of a buffet with a wide range of cold meats, pastries, bread, cheese, fruit etc. On top it, they are happy... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
