Lovely hotel and location however 3 months later there seems to be a problem with payment. We bought a prepaid room through venere.com and paid for it a month before we went on the holiday. On leaving the hotel they asked nicely for payment. After producing paperwork they agreed the room was paid for and we left. A few weeks... More

Stayed here for one night in November. The location of the hotel is fairly central, less than a 5 minute walk from the Metro Station (Karlovo Namesti) and about a 10 minute walk from Wenceslas Square. It is situated in a very quiet street with no through traffic, which with Prague's noisy cobbled streets is an issue in some other... More

I arrived at this hotel last summer in July, my very first time ever to Czech Republic. I got to the hotel from airport by bus then taking metro subway to Pavlova station. From Pavlova you can take tram or just take a walk..it's only about 15 minutes if you dont have heavy luggage. The receptionist worked so fast in... More

Arrived in Prague late & w/o having opportunity to pre-book w/ Booking.com or Airbnb. Put ourselves on mercy of Tourist office who asked how much we 'wanted to pay'. Said '65 E' and were directed to Hotel Antik City for (surprise, surprise : 65 Euro/night. Man at front desk was uncommunicative to the point of surly. Room we were directed... More

This hotel has easy access to the sights of Prague and is very near the wonderful Smetana Hall. Room facilities were good, and we did have the use of a lift. Access by car is very tricky, and the paid parking is a 10 min walk away in the very confusing Palladium shopping centre. We had to switch off the... More

10 minute walk from the centre on a quiet side street. NIce homely feel. We liked our room, cosy, clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Standard breakfast buffet ( coudl have been improved with fresh rather than tinned fruit). Would stay here again.

We stayed at the Antik for one night on a flying visit to Prague. The hotel is located on a fairly quiet street only a few minutes walk from the Old Town Square which was one of the reasons we booked it! When we arrived the member of staff on reception was very friendly, gave us a map of the... More

I stayed there for a weekend. The hotel does not look like the pictures shown on their website at all. The room looks old and I did not have confortable pillows. The doors were a little bit noisy as well. The bathroom is very new and practical.

We picked this hotel because of the reviews people wrote and were not dissappointed. Beautiful small hotel, staff was friendly and very helpful, rooms were a great size, close to Old town Square, the Jewish Quarter and a bunch of everything. Breakfast was included and a perfect amount to start the day. Rooms were clean and quiet and the beds... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
