We arrived at the hotel around 3 pm, and after checking. The staff was very helpful and friendly. After dropping our stuff at the hotel, they had some free sandwich and juices we could have! It was very thoughtful as we were hungry but not ready for having a full meal. It's the first time I see an hotel providing... More

We stayed a full week, having business to do in Praha and both of us being Czech originally. We've seen the city as tourists but always love coming back. It's simply one of the best cities in the world, let alone Europe. The hotel itself is excellent, clean, well-run. Very reasonably priced too. With underground parking ... yesss (we're on... More

Don't expect anything Luxury here. A very nice decent clean place to stay put during your vacation nights. Excellent Breakfast, close to city center, Main railway Station, and all the attractions. Free Wifi.

Located just one block away from Wenceslas square. We travelled by car, it was easy to find and the hotel offers underground parking (limited, about 8 places, 20€/d). Good buffet breakfast, clean room but not very strong wifi signal in our room (4th floor). I'd recommend this to other travellers

This isn't a luxury hotel but for the price the sleep quality was excellent. I asked for a quiet room, away from the elevators, and they paid attention to this request and gave me just that. I didn't hear a sound all night so that is why I'm giving it four stars. The roof top bar has nice views over... More

We were there with my wife for our wedding ! The room was perfect, the breakfast one of he best I saw in hotels. Large choice, quality, staff filling when empty, .. Close to metro for center. Or even by foot. If we go back one day to Prague we will certainly go back there !

I stayed at Archibald City hotel for three nights (10 - 13th July), I was travelling on my own. I always take into account the money I pay for the hotel when reviewing, I got a good deal on this hotel booking from a comparison site, this is not the best 4 star hotel I have stayed in but it... We booked this hotel via a competitively priced web site, so did not really hold out too much hope. However, the reception staff were very helpful, courteous and spoke excellent English. Our room, 309 was spotless, well decorated and cleaned to a high standard. Unusually, there were ample hangers in the two wardrobes, good mirrors (essential for doing Liz's hair)... More

The Archibald City hotel exceeded my expectations on my recent visit. From the quick and easy check in to the afternoon complementary coffee, water, juice and sandwiches, this hotel was perfect for my recent stay. The triple room was rather large and very nice. The Skybar on the 7th floor had amazing views of the city and offered a quiet... More

The Archibald Hotel is a great place to stay for both the location and cleanliness. It's only a few blocks from the main train station and a 10 min walk to the Old Town Square. It's not the newest hotel around but it's clean and updated well. The breakfast was great and offered plenty of choices. I enjoyed the rooftop... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
