My room was blissfully quiet (no.203) and looked out over the little river and the water wheel. The fan was SO welcome due to the heat (40 degrees!) The staff were very helpful and pleasant and there was a comprehensive and delicious breakfast! For the money, a top notch location (hop, skip and a jump to Charles Bridge) lovely!

We loved the Hotel Kampa Garden. We had a "family room" which consisted of quite a large bedroom for my husband and I and a smaller bedroom for our daughter. We were in the front of the hotel, so we had the awesome view of the Charles Bridge. The bathroom was super-large, too. One possible negative, though, is the size... More

Dear guest, let me thank you for very nice words and also for your ideas for improvements to make stay of all our guests more comfortable. Regarding extremely hot weather in Prague this summer I would like to kindly inform you that our hotel is historical building with very strict rules from the Antiquities Authority and for this reason we... We spent 3 nights here and enjoyed almost every aspect of the Kampa. Location great. Bed, comfortable. Bathroom, utilitarian but functional. Breakfast, my favorite aspect. The terrace, a nice touch. The common areas were plain, but clean. The room was simple but served the purpose. After having walked dozens of mile thru Prague, I'm confident that this has to be... More

Perfectly located on Kampa Island. Formal, yet casual and creative if you have special needs. "A room with a view" would be an understatement. Reasonable pricing. Negative? Hmmm, the basement breakfast room is lit by lamps leading my thoughts to an autopsy institution.

The Kampa Garden Hotel is situated right next to Charles Bridge and is in a fantastic location in the centre of Prague. It is just out of the main hustle and bustle so is a really nice location. I guess as with most city centre hotels in historic towns, the hotel does not have a car park, so on street... More

This 3 star hotel is absolutely perfectly located on Kampa Island and you could not ask for a better place to be. As others have said it is so close to the Charles Bridge and to the Old Town that, aside from actually being in the town (and who would want that!) it is simply perfectly located. To be fair,... Besides the fact that it has a great location, the rest was just a bad experience at this hotel. My husband and I came to Prague for business reasons, but after many years of running and just concentrating on work and our sun, we decided to stay for one more day and spend it just for ourselves. I have chosen... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights earlier this week, this hotel is outstanding, simple as that. Location is arguably it's strongest point, a couple of minutes from the River and Charles Bridge, yet tucked away in a quiet area. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is more than adequate, I was pleasantly surprised to find bacon and scrambled... More

This is 3 star "pension" - clean, phenomenal location. A peaceful and quiet place, just outside of the center the Lesser town, and minutes away from Charles Bridge. I went to sleep to the sound of the small canal running by the hotel, and woke up to the sound of birds The terrace by the canal was charming and the... More

This was one of our favourites: near Charles Bridge but on the quiet side of the river, close to parks and gardens and good cafes and restaurants. Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
