Hotel was ok and clean. Had to sit in the bath to shower. It was situated halfway along the bath at about 1M in height. Bad position.Great location and friendly staff. Breakfast was very basic and not a lot of it either. On our 2nd day we didn't bother with it. We went to one of the numerous restaurants situated... More

We stayed three nights last week in this great hotel right smack in the middle of the historic old town square (literally across from the Astronomical Clock). Could not have been more charming or more convenient. We walked everywhere. The staff was absolutely fabulous, the restaurants were good, the room and bathroom were huge (we specifically booked an historic room).... More

This hotel is centrally located overlooking the astronomical clock. The room was utterly charming with the furniture matching the olde world style of Prague. Very clean and comfortable with helpful staff. Breakfast was delightful with the breakfast room overlooking the astronomical clock. Located on the first floor of the building - but do not let that put you off as... More

Have just returned from a 4 night stay with my husband and 4 friends......We have stayed in Prague many times at different hotels, but we were renewing our wedding vows and wanted a special hotel and this one was superb.......We had a room overlooking the clock and it was fabulous, if your windows were shut you could not hear a... We have just spent 5 nights in this hotel in a room overlooking the Astronomical Clock. Despite superior double glazing, we still needed earplugs to sleep. The band in the next door cafe continued until 11pm. However, last night even the band couldn't compete with the massive hoards of drunken revellers who continued well into the small hours. Prague would... More

Dear Sir/Madam, thank you, for your respond to our accommodation! I am glad to read, that over all you have enjoyed your stay with us! I am sure that the outside noise can be a problem, but as you have stated in your review, we have got double glaze windows, that should help to prevent the noise from comming in!... More

You cant really beat this hotel for its location. Right on the square means you're well placed for a walk to most of the sights. Unfortunately, although we paid extra for a room with a view of the astronomical clock I was very disappointed to find that our room had a view of the tower but not the clock! The... More

I wanted to not use a car and be able to walk to all the major sites. This hotel was just what I wanted. The buffet breakfast was good and the staff was friendly and helpful. My husband had business meeting so I had the days to myself. I am glad I did not get the room looking right out... More

Grand Hotel Praha could not have been a better choice for my trip to Prague! My daughter and I stayed there a week and every detail was arranged for us. They picked me up at the airport - late at night and during a rainstorm, and literally held an umbrella over my head to help get me into the lobby.... More

Fantastically located, clean and comfortable hotel in a heritage building opposite the astronomical clock. Justifies all the praise it has received in the previous reviews. Good service .Good and varied choice of food at all 4 of their extremely busy restaurants. Wish they could provide tea-coffee making facilities in the room - but I understand that it is not possible... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
