We stayed in Prague for two nights in between a visit to Berlin and Krakow. The hotel is ran by a 6th generation owner who goes to great lengths to ensure you enjoyed your stay. On arrival you are greeted with the offer of complimentary wine and warm drinks throughout your stay, whilst the included breakfast is more than ample.... More

We have just returned from a break in Prague, a really lovely city. The Hotel Hastal is in an excellent position, 5 minutes walk to the Town Square, the staff were friendly and the room very clean. Hopefully we will be back soon.

Hastal Hotel is conveniently located in the Old Town, close to all major attractions like Charles Bridge, the castle and everything you need to see in the old town. Staff is very friendly and speak good English. When I arrived at the hotel I got a free upgrade, because the luxury rooms were available at the time. Check this out,... More

My annual visit to Prague and another stay at Hastal made the last Christmas 2014 a very special one indeed. As I've said before, it's an ideal hotel with an excellent value for money all year round. What is really nice, though, is that I always experience a very welcoming and pleasant stay as it's a family run business without... More

The positive things, location and clean. It is one of those hotels really making me angry since it would be quite nice, but due to smaller issues the overall experience is bad. Tiny towels in bathrooms. Two of them for two guests. For one shower you need at least two. Amenities are a joke. The shower box is small since... More

I went to Prague last November for t he first time. It is one of the best places to visit. My impression will not be completed without Hastal. I was very impressed by friendly environment. The hotel is classic and, most importantly, very clean. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The price is simply the best deal. The hotel is... More

My husband and I were in Prague for a short break last week. The hotel Hastal was perfect for us, ideally located for sight seeing, very warm, beautifully decorated with black and white photos of the 5 generations of the family who own the hotel and the room was spotless. The staff were most helpful and there was a huge... More

I gave this hotel 5⭐️ because when the cost meets the room/service, it cannot be better value. The hotel has a lovely old world feel to it, the staff will go out of there way to help you. Free wine in the lobby and 24hr decent coffee machine. Excellent location, 10 min walk from old town square. Michelin mentioned restaurant... More

Had a great time in this hotel, surrounded by Mucha prints which was quite charming this hotel gave a genuine old world ambience. The director was very pleasant and made our visit very personal to him. He gave us little keepsakes when we departed. The hotel offers free wine and coffee down in the lobby and will do their best... Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
