We truly enjoyed our stay. The hotel (more like a B&B) was clean and inviting, and in a perfect location, a few blocks from the touristy square, though we could hear the revelers at night!. Everyone at the front desk was kind and welcoming. The cars the hotel ordered to take us to the airport (we left separately) were on... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Hastal Hotel in mid-April and were delighted with it. It is in a charming old building. The owner greeted us warmly and the staff was very attentive. The big windows of our room overlooked the quiet street, we had plenty of space, and the bathroom was quite large. Everything was spotless.... More

Great, convenient hotel! Very close to the full of bars and clubs street - Dlouha street, but in very quiet place. Very friendly staff and free of charge water, coffee and tea on the reception floor. Good wi-fi, actually, the best in comparison with other places! Rooms are elegant and stylish, king-size bed was simply excellent!! The real boutique hotel... More

Great location, easy walk to everything in Old Town. Beautiful old building, well-maintained. We stayed 4 nights in the only room with a balcony, overlooking a small square. Very friendly service, including a full buffet breakfast each morning. The only problem we encountered was late-night (early morning) partiers in the area kept us awake, but we we there over a... Hotel Hastal in old town Prague was just right for our three night stay; our first floor room was spacious overlooking the street and it was quiet. A great location for walking to the Jewish Quarter and the Old Town Square. The included breakfast had everything we wanted and there are many terrific restaurants within a few blocks.

The location of Hotel Hastal is ideal. It felt like a residential area but only a short walk to all the action in old town and Prague center. The street was very quiet. We enjoyed two evening meals close by that were excellent and seemed to be a hang out for the locals instead of tourists. The rooms were very... More

We stayed here 5 nights. The hotel was close to all the sights we wanted to see. Reception staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and a nice size. Breakfast was included with our stay. There served a large variety of very good food. Only downfall was that thesaurus was available everyday. We would stay there again.

The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and efficient. The hotel is in a great position, easy to find and walking distance to old town Praha (Prague). Great value for money with clean and comfortable rooms. The buffet breakfast had good selection and the service was excellent. We would definitely stay here again. A+++++++++

Comfortable room, large by European standards. Modern bathroom. Hotel retains old world charm with its furnishings. Great breakfast. In a quiet area with a short walk to the town square. Several restaurants very close by. Complimentary Tea, coffee and wine available in the lobby ( which is tiny ) but a patio available.

What a wonderful place to stay. From the moment we stepped in the door, Eva was so very pleasant and helpful. Our room was sparkling clean, and just perfect. The placement in town is also wonderful. Just a short walk to many places of interest. Breakfast was varied, and the lady who takes care of the dining room was always... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
