Comfortable hotel in a 1910 Art Deco style. Note the Klimpt prints and period furnishings and appliances down to an old dial phone. A nice courtyard, competent, friendly staff and a good breakfast in the adjacent restaurant. Just a short walk to the old town square or the Jewish quarter.

I was at hotel over 2 night during my business trip in Prague. Location of hotel is good for old town visit and tour. Room furniture is stylish. Breakfest selection is fair. Hotel staff - no claim. During my visit - lift was broken so I had to go upstair by foot - my room was on top floor. I... More

We stayed at the Hotel Hastal in March for six nights and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is in a great location, about five minutes walk to the Old Town Square and with plenty of restaurants close by. We stayed in a Deluxe double room, with a view to the front of the Hotel; it was very comfortable, especially... More

This hotel is conveniently located 5 minutes walk from the old town square. The rooms and bed are comfortable. The breakfast is adequate, but not great. The coffee is horrible, which is a sin. I couldn't drink it. I found it strange that the front desk had to be contacted to turn the A/C on. There was no remote in... More

Had a great stay at Hotel Hastal. loved the atmosphere, lots of dark wood and past phoographs gave it a wonderful feel. Stayed in a deluxe double room as it was a birthday treat and it was well worth it. Room was big, bed was huge and very comfy, fabulous pillows! Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Complimentary coffee... More

The hotel was absolutely charmingly historic with Kafka and Einstein staying at the hotel in former days. The staff was extremely helpful. Eva was one that had a lasting impression and was disappointed when I was unable to tell her thank you upon our departure. Free breakfast in the am, which was quite good. Situated near all the central localities... More

First time in Prague, wanted to stay close to tourist action but not anything too $$ or loud. Hotel Hastal was ideal; very close to most all sights, close to the metro, yet on a quieter side street so still retains a quaint feel. Clean rooms, good size bathroom, adequate breakfast (though there is also a delicious bakery about 2... More

This hotel is perfectly located for exploring all areas of Prague. The staff were warm and welcoming and the old world style is very charming. Our triple room was fine for 3 and the bathroom well appointed. The airconditioning was a godsend as the city was in the grip of a heatwave (temperatures of 37 degrees!). A nice touch was... More

Since my most unpleasant experience in Luxembourg (f*** hotel Suite Novotel) I avoid hotels belonging to a group (such as Accor). Well, Hotel Hastal is family-owned. Fantastic location: the hotel is in the historic center of Prague, near the St. Agnes Convent. Comfortable, quiet rooms. The only problem is that I didn't know how to use the two remote controls... Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
