Really enjoyed staying in hotel Hastal. Great value for money and had a very comfortable and spacious room with a nice view. The hotel was situated very close to old town square as it was only a two minute walk and within walking distance to all the main attractions. Bars and restaurants very close to the hotel also. Breakfast in... More

I visited Hotel Hastal during July 2015, the location is the best part of the hotel, the staff are really nice and helpful. The breakfast is nice and generous you can find anything that you like. The hotel serves free coffee 24 hours where you can enjoy the garden!

We spent five nights at this hotel and felt we were well taken care of by a helpful staff. Our room was on the 3rd floor and faced the church so we had a lovely view. The room was large and nicely decorated with framed art nouveau posters, the bed was comfortable, and the shower worked well. Breakfast was a... More

This hotel is well-situated, close to most sights you'll want to see. Its interesting history is on display, and worth a look. The decor is in keeping with the history--we appreciated the authenticity. The bathroom was well-equipped, though small, as most European bathrooms are. The breakfast buffet was both ample and varied. What we appreciated most though was the friendly... More

As part of a 7 week tour I chose this hotel because it was recommended in a well known travel guide with the promise of a 20% discount off the lowest on-line price if you mentioned this in an email. I did and was surprised to be offered only 5% so long as I paid cash (isn't that just saving... More

Title of review sounds odd but half way through our holiday the noise coming from the room nextdoor was terrible. The nextdoor guests were having showers from 11pm to 1 am and their young child was constantly shouting. However they only stayed for 3 days. Other guests staying weren't quiet as noisy but when they showered and used the toilet... More

+ The location is perfect, the staff is also very nice. The hotel is cosy, rooms are not that big, but quite comfortable and beautifully decorated. It may seem a bit old fashioned, but it is charming, a perfect place to relax after a long day in Prague. - The system of air conditioning is a disaster. You have to... More

Reasonable size room, everything working, good breakfast, fine service, dead centre of old town, what more? Two example: the room has a lot of sockets, you can charge all your devices at once and internet is fast. A no nonsense hotel, good value for money.

Location, location, location. Hotel Hastal is in the right spot for your visit to beautiful Praha. Close to everything, easy walk to the Old Town Square, a few streets away from the river front, convenient to restaurants while tucked away on a quiet square. We enjoyed our three night stay in July, were upgraded to the best room in the... More

Hotel Hastal was perfect walking distance from the main Prague town square. After walking all around Prague, I was happy to see that I liked the area we stayed the best. The hotel itself was great, in that the room was perfect and the staff were very helpful, reserved, but helpful. The great Lokal restaurant is a 30 second walk... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
