Stayed as a solo traveler for 6 nights and can indeed echo what others have said about this hotel, being relaxed and friendly with warm and friendly staff on hand. An old world feel to the hotel with it's family history on show with lots of family memorabilia and photos in the foyer. My room No12 looked over the front... More

Although the hotel is near the old town center, i was very disappointed with the hotel. First of all the elevator brokedown. We spent our vacation going up and down all the stairs. The room service was terrible. The room wasn't cleaned each day. It's a very noisy hotel.you can hear what's going on in the next room. It's a... More

If you want a hotel in Prague then this is the one to stay in. Very friendly with free wine and coffee/tea in the reception area. Lovely classical rooms and the beds are oh so comfy. our Double must have been a super king-size. It even had two duvets on so we had a duvet each! We decided to have... More

If you don´t miss nightly noice and crowded corridors and receptions in a mass hotel, Hotel Hastal is just a perfect place for you. It is a very old and very beautiful building just of a stone throw from the Old Town Square, but however has a very quiet location in the heart well known historical, world heritage area. You... Great hotel with a traditional feel, fantastic location in old town. Could not fault any part of our stay. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Complimentary wine and hot drinks was a great touch. We would definitely stay again if we visited Prague again. We have no hesitation in recommending this independent hotel.

We stayed in Prague for two nights in between a visit to Berlin and Krakow. The hotel is ran by a 6th generation owner who goes to great lengths to ensure you enjoyed your stay. On arrival you are greeted with the offer of complimentary wine and warm drinks throughout your stay, whilst the included breakfast is more than ample.... More

We have just returned from a break in Prague, a really lovely city. The Hotel Hastal is in an excellent position, 5 minutes walk to the Town Square, the staff were friendly and the room very clean. Hopefully we will be back soon.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
