Found this while walking round the neighbourhood !! We had lunch and a few drinks and it was one of the nicest meals we had during in our stay. Will go again for sure. Lovely outdoor terrace out the back

I stayed here for three nights while on a business trip. The rooms are spotlessly clean with free wifi that works well. However, they're quite spartan and it seems like they cut down the heating a notch at night while the quilts are just sufficient to keep you warm. This is not a problem unless you get up very early... More

If ever one has to form an idea what a basic hotel room is, one has to visit this hotel. The room consists only of a bed (two singles put together with a terrible hump in the middle), two sideboards on the side of the bed, two couches, the smallest tv ever found in a hotel (maybe 15inch tv), a... Dear Mr. Zammit, thank you for your review. At first, let me tell you, that we are really very sorry about your dissatisfaction with your accommodation. The truth is, that we are reconstructing some rooms in this low season period and the room, you´ve stayed in, will be renovated during April. Regarding the wifi connection -usually it works fluently, without... More

I stayed there with my Mom and Sister, the staff was really helpfull always trying to help us. The room have to much noise, but in general the room was ok. The restaurant was really good and we get 20%off as guest . Really Recommend, the location was near to the tram that connect to the center.

pros: - good location - staff willing to help - nice restaurant cons: - smelly rooms (I booked non-smoking, but I had to change room three times to get one where the smell was not so bad) - beddings with holes and blood-like stain on bed sheet - not very clean (dirty carpet and walls, toothpaste on the cup in... My wife and I stayed at U Semika this past June for 3 nights and found it a very pleasant and friendly place. We paid the equivalent of $ 110.00 Canadian per night including breakfast for 2, which compared well with other similar hotels. The room was spacious and clean and the staff were very helpful with travel tips, concert... More

U Semika is located in a residential area fairly far from the main attractions of Prague. However, there is a tram stop a very short (under 5 minutes) walk away, so it is very easy to get to the castle or old town. I was a bit dismayed at first by the distance from the city centre but once I... More

Unobtrusive, delightfully old world Prague; discounted dinner prices for guests; central European cooking, patio at the rear, cobbled streets, out of town somewhat, and none the worse for that - strolling dawdle along the river of 25 minutes to the centre of Prague; obliging staff, descendants of the Czech heroes that disposed of the filthy Reinhard Heydrich,
