Very good location for a very unconfortable hostel. We were set to a kind of dependance which was outside the building in which the hostel is located. We have a piece of iron coming out from our bed. The bedroom was not really clean and toilet had no sink. The only good thing is the location, just a few steps... More

I have stayed in many places, from 5* hotels to the most basic hostel dormitories and this is the only place I have wanted to leave before we'd started! We booked it as it was central and we were arriving in the evening and staying outside of the city for the rest of our stay so we thought cheap and... More

We booked online a couple of days before arriving & paid a deposit but when we got there, after waiting 2 hours to check in, we were told that we had to pay local taxes which made it almost twice the price and more expensive than a lovely apartment we had previously stayed in near the castle. Staff were unhelpful... More

We arrived slightly later than anticipated due to train trouble and despite being assured that the reception was open till 11 it was not open at 8 and we were then forced to wait half an hour as no one could be bothered to check us in. The rooms were military to the extreme and despite being relatively cheap at... More

Unfortunately I was cheated by this hostel. I booked the room at the begining of March (so it was 2 months before the month of my arriving. I received the confirmatiion on my e-mail and I also paid the deposit. Yesterday I came to Prague with my 3 friends and when we came to the hostel at 1 p.m. young... More

We arrived in Prague November 9th and checked in. We paid (in cash) the rest of our room fee being that a percentage was charged when booking. The ¨receptionist´´ noted our passport numbers and the fact that we paid in a NOTEBOOK. We left our bags in a room with four beds, locked the door and went for a walk... More

Stayed here for 3 nights for a stag do. I'd already been to Prague before so knew what to expect, as most budget accomodation in Prague is very crap compared to the rest of europe. This accomodation is very basic, just a room with a bed in. The location is very central, 1 min walk from town centre, plus there... More

The Condor does not provide a good first impression, as it is in a tired old building and there is no real reception desk. It all looks very amateur. Some of the rooms' doors open directly onto the reception area and we could see people sleeping, so we were a bit worried about the privacy! Although we had booked a... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
