The Karlin Hotel has many things going in its favor: clean, spacious and modern rooms, VERY good breakfast (I'm picky when it comes to breakfast given that so many accommodations in Europe do not offer a decent one - this one is a very solid meal with eggs, bread, cheeses, vegetables, yogurt, cereal, good coffee, etc), good prices for Prague... Perfect Stay! Very clean, cheap and very very friendly owner! Metro and Street train nearby. Absolute Recommendation. Excellent Restaurant 'Amfora' in the same house. Had a room with nice balcony. Breakfast was quite ok.

Pros: Breakfast is good. Cons: No consistency. Some rooms terrible, some fine. Some staff rude, some satisfactory. Absolutely no consistency between rooms of the same value. Some rooms have no WIFI reception (which the staff are well aware of), particularly the rooms at the front of the hotel. Room 41 which I was allocated, has three huge roof lights, making... More

Great place, location was not perfect but very close to metro station and tram stop. Basic breakfast but goes a long way. Beautiful clean rooms, very good bathroom facilities. Staff professional and helpful. Good restaurant although not very vegetarian-friendly (im not, but my girlfriend is). But 20 meters away is one of the nicest restaurants in the area (cant remember... This hotel is really bare-bones, but was clean. Certainly no frills (no soap in the bathroom). the location was convenient. A very short walk to a tram and metro station. They also had convenient parking. Overall, the hotel is fine, but you can probably find something a bit nicer in the same price range.

The hotel itself is a 4 minute walk to the metro. The hotel rooms were clean, no complaints there. Although no mini fridge which is not a huge deal but it would be nice to put your drinks somewhere. The breakfast was alright, nothing special but filed me up. The weirdest thing about the hotel was that we had to... More

I was disappointed with this hotel, luckily I stayed here just one night. The rooms have the basic equipment with dirty curtains on the window, but otherwise clean room. Window frames are wooden and old, so noise is heard from the street (tram). Soap and shampoo are not provided in the rooms (3 star hotel??, ehm...). Breakfast was very poor... More

I was very satisfied with almost everything. Our room was clean, nice and cozy. I wouldn't recommend rooms with windows to the main street to light sleepers because there are trams going pretty often. I also didn't really like the shower, it was just weird. But what I really remember the most was the breakfast. There was big choice of... More
