This hostel is amazing!! My best friend and I stayed in a double private room, and it was huge!! The bed was amazing, the decor was charming, and the bathroom was pristine. The bar in Miss Sophie's was super fun, I would suggest doing the pub crawl at some point!! The wifi wasn't the best, but the room made up... More

We loved this charming hotel! it became our home away from home in Prague. Recently renovated...just ask to make sure they are not painting while you are staying there. The fumes can be terribly strong. We were there in April 2015- perhaps the work is done by now.

=Accommodation: A converted older building with introduced modern boutique decor. Cleverly devised room furniture with a double bed, integrated couch and ample storage space in veneered wall closets. Certainly originally, coat hangers form a sort-of hanging mobile. The steel bed structure is one with the side tables, so all movement affects the things on tables too. The size of bathroom... More

I stayed at Miss Sophie's for 7 nights in September 2014 while traveling solo in the Czech Republic. Miss Sophie's was the perfect home base for day trips through out the region and a fabulously central place for touring Prauge. The staff was exceptional. They were all young (20's), but completely professional with great work ethic and devoted to making... More

15 minute walk from the old town district, clean beds and washroom, individual outlets and lights, super friendly staff, great bar and solid wifi. cannot express enough how stellar the breakfast is... I mean I think it might be homemade strawberry jam! Deeeelicious.

Excellent check in. Our receptionist was really lovely and thoughtful (offering for us to put our packs down etc while she explained their neighbourhood map). The map they give you is excellent - really shows that they want to take the time to make your stay a lovely one. Dorm room is modern and spacious and has big lockers under... More

This is hands down the best hostel I've ever stayed at. I really question whether Miss Sophie's ought to be considered a hostel when its facilities rival those at some 4 star hotels. My wife and I stayed in a twin room (which was meant to be a double, a detail which got lost in the months between making the... More

This hostel is located just outside of the Old Town in the New Town. It's a short walk to Wenceslas Square and Old Town. The staff is super friendly and English speaking. The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms exceptional. The breakfast in the morning is worth the money. I'm sure there are hostels located closer to the center,... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
