This was great hotel. We stayed in room 1 - a twin room. It was very clean and spacious room and the room was cleaned daily to a high standard. The room also had a fridge and a kettle which was an added bonus! The wifi here was also very fast and there was lots of living space outside of... More

Miss Sophies was fantastic! I wouldn't stay anywhere else if I returned to Prague. So handy in terms of public transport to get into the main tourist areas. The rooms were beautiful & luxurious. We stayed in a private room with an ensuite and loved it!

Lovely bathroom, lots of space for a twin room. Great facilities and great breakfast. Cleaning was done every day and to a great standard. The staff were helpful and provided all yhe information we needed, even going so far as to post our postcards for us! The only issue we had, was that there was something electrically wrong with the... More

The breakfast was a hand prepared feast. Well worth the morning wait. For a hostel, the room were private and clean. Location was great! WE stayed in a 4 person bunk. The bathroom was nice and the beds were comfortable.

Although it may be a little more expensive than other hostels in Prague, that extra money is so worth it. My stay at Miss Sophie's was perfect. Their breakfast -- which you have to purchase -- is AMAZING. Strongly recommended. I would stay here again if I am back in Prague.

Myself and some friends stayed here for a couple of nights as part of our interrail tour of Europe and it was by far the nicest hostel we stayed at! I had booked for four of us to stay in a one-bedroom apartment which gave us plenty of room, it was clean and beautifully decorated, and had a lovely little... More

OMG after roughing it for a couple of weeks in party hostels, miss sophist was such a piece of paradise that didn't break our budget. Clean tidy, big modern rooms. bedding is crisp and white. bathrooms are wonderful! Within walking distance to everything however it's super easy to get taxi's everywhere too (beware taxi's are run by the mafia, so... More

If you are not afraid of a little walking, this hotel is reasonably well-located to get to all the main sites -- maybe 10-15 minutes. It has just been redone and everything is very stylized and eclectic, but appealing. There are maybe 20 rooms in an old 4 or 5 story building (with an elevator) that have recently been updated/redecorated.... More

This hostel is amazing!! My best friend and I stayed in a double private room, and it was huge!! The bed was amazing, the decor was charming, and the bathroom was pristine. The bar in Miss Sophie's was super fun, I would suggest doing the pub crawl at some point!! The wifi wasn't the best, but the room made up... More

Not your usual rowdy hostel, enough privacy for those who want to relax. Love the clean, minimal design, room was spacious!! Good location, front desk was very helpful and gave local tips! Bfast was extra cost but great selection! Will def recommend!

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
