This hostel was extremely nice compared to some I stayed in. It was myself and four other girls in our room. Across the hall there were five girls in the other room. In total is was 10 girls sharing and apartment with two showers and three toilets. This may sound like a lot but it worked for all of us.... More

Miss Sophie's may be the best hostel I've stayed at. It has a great location, and the place is very nice and impeccably clean. The staff was extremely nice, specially Jan and Katerina. They have a pretty good bar (with no noise getting up to the bedrooms) and very cheap as well. They serve pretty good breakfast for a little... More

15 minute walk from the old town district, clean beds and washroom, individual outlets and lights, super friendly staff, great bar and solid wifi. cannot express enough how stellar the breakfast is... I mean I think it might be homemade strawberry jam! Deeeelicious.

Excellent check in. Our receptionist was really lovely and thoughtful (offering for us to put our packs down etc while she explained their neighbourhood map). The map they give you is excellent - really shows that they want to take the time to make your stay a lovely one. Dorm room is modern and spacious and has big lockers under... More

This is hands down the best hostel I've ever stayed at. I really question whether Miss Sophie's ought to be considered a hostel when its facilities rival those at some 4 star hotels. My wife and I stayed in a twin room (which was meant to be a double, a detail which got lost in the months between making the... More

This hostel is located just outside of the Old Town in the New Town. It's a short walk to Wenceslas Square and Old Town. The staff is super friendly and English speaking. The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms exceptional. The breakfast in the morning is worth the money. I'm sure there are hostels located closer to the center,... More

Got a great price in Hostelworld, only five euros per night. The dorms were very clean and nice. The hostel has a kitchen and a very cool bar in the lobby. I recommend it very much, not very near the old town but close enough. They gave us very good recommendations on the front desk as well

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
