Miss Sophie's was such an amazing hostel! The beds were big and the duvet and pillow were surprisingly comfortable. The showers were huge and had great water pressure (probably better than my shower at home!). The staff was also amazing. When we arrived the woman helping us went above and beyond to help us. The pub crawl was also well... More

Thank you very much to the girls on the reception for the great support. And thank you for this warm welcome. You gave everybody a feeling like home. I had a single room. It was a nice room with a cool bathroom. The hotel is only 10 min walk from wencel square and a good base to explore prag. With... More

This hostel is lovely. I stayed recently in a female dorm with five beds. I was not expecting the apartment I was given! The hostel is in an old building, so the staircases are lovely and the ceilings are high. I was given my key card expecting just a room and bathroom, but the bedroom was very spacious and there... Very helpful staff, every single one of them. There's a nice little bar/ hang out area downstairs. The breakfast is well worth the money too. We were full all day from it and it was delicious. They had a really good cereal bar, fresh fruit and veggies, meat and cheese, and a nice woman came around and asked if we... More

Room: We stayed in a private double room, with its own bathroom. The bedroom part was really nice--super modern, very clean. I was surprised that they make up the room every day like in a hotel. My only gripe was that the attached bathroom smelled like a sewer and stank up the bedroom part if we didn't open windows and... More

I stayed in a private room for 3 nights and it was without doubt the best hostel I have been to. On arrival the staff are very welcoming and eager to help with everything and anything. They couldn't be more helpful and enthusiastic. The room itself is amazing, very clean and spacious, bed I comfy and big. The bathroom is... More

Couldn't recommend more highly. Lovely clean and spacious rooms, social kitchen area to meet other travellers, and a great location. Very friendly staff who gave great advice on where to go for food and night life, and to whom I am especially grateful - after leaving in a rush early in the morning I left my car keys on the... Beautiful place, which feels more like a boutique hotel rather than a hostel. Our private room was lovely and clean, with a big comfortable bed and a chic new décor. There are two buildings, the reception was in the one across the street and our building was very quiet with a nice feel of privacy and no noise at night,... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
