I stayed at Miss Sophie's with 8 of my friends for my birthday last week and we all shared a 10 bed dorm. We were all so impressed with how clean and tidy it was and how friendly the staff were. Their additional breakfast was AMAZING and you could literally eat as much as you like for about £3! (I... More

Stayed in a standard double in the second building. Pros: - The room and private bathroom were modern, bright, clean and comfortable - much more like a hotel than hostel. - Nice view out the window. - Lift accessible. - The winter rates were good. - The staff are really friendly and helpful with tips, maps and public transport tickets.... I had a lovely stay at Miss Sophie's over New Year's 2014/2015. I stayed in the five-person dorm. They were really lovely dorms complete with separate kitchen and bathroom. I had some friends stay in the double apartment - this was really lovely also, More like a boutique hotel than a hostel. The breakfasts were really lovely - nice to... More

I stayed at Ms. Sophie's for 3 nights in October. The private room was pretty, clean and with an attached bathroom. Everything went perfect and the place is definitely good value for money. The staff is super friendly and helpful and did their best to make my stay comfortable. The sweet lady who checked me in also gave me directions... More

This place is the definition of "Best Value"! I arrived late one evening in a zombie-like state after more than 24 hours of travel from Canada to Prague and more than 30 hours without sleep. I was greeted my a very friendly guy at reception who checked me in. I had reserved a single room and was incredibly impressed when... More

I stayed here in a 5 bed dorm. The room was pretty cool and clean and we had a shared bathroom in the room. The staff was also nice. But I like to meet other travelers and this is a hostel where this is not so easy. Nobody was in den Facilities and no drinking in the evening. But that's... More

Was so impressed with this place, it is far superior to many hotels/B&Bs I've stayed in. I had a private room and couldn't believe that the toiletries provided were Crabtree and Evelyn! Everything was perfect and the breakfasts were phenomenal - amazing selection. I could easily walk all over Prague from here. Fab hostel, fab city - would definitely stay... More

I was incredibly impressed with Miss Sophie's from my first point of contact with them. I was travelling with two other friends but we wanted to book an apartment with two separate sleeping spaces (one double and one single) without breaking the bank. I identified a one bedroom apartment at Miss Sophie's with a double bed and a single in... More

I travel a lot around Eastern Europe and stay in a lot of hostels, usually the cheapest ones I can find and so I don't expect much more than a mattress and a roof over my head. Due to this pessimistic outlook towards hostels, Miss Sophie's blew my mind. Firstly, the price was extremely affordable, the location was near enough... More

It's one of the best hostels I've ever been!! You can feel that they're working on improving more and more... the reception for hostel is in the main building (just opposite) but as far as i know they are renovating the hostel's building and create a proper reception desk over there... Once that happen is going to be one of... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
