cannot recommend this hotel highly enough for a visit to Prague - amazing building, with a mixture of old and new. Fabulous restaurant - great staff. Hotel is situated on a quiet street, yet is very central. Will be returning soon!

The Alchymist Grand is a special property that manages to be both timeless and current. The decor is endearingly overdone, making it a sort of quirky modernized classic in terms of style. The service in the hotel and the restaurant is first-rate. The staff is happy to arrange tours, transfers and really anything you need. The food and wine quality... More

The Alchymist is an amazing, absolutely gorgeous, five star hotel. After looking at some of the other 5 star locations - this would be my choice again. Very traditional Czech motif with many nice antiques - very tastefully done. This hotel reminds me of the Albergo del Sonata in Rome, another of my favorite boutique hotels. All of the staff... More

We travel extensively but I post rarely, and then only when I feel exceptional service has been experienced. We stayed at the Alchymist from 4th to 7th June this year, a stay we will definitely repeat, we loved it, firstly, the staff are wonderful, gracious and obliging, a delight. The building is lovely, well maintained and immaculate, the patio restaurant... More

We have just recently spent 6 unforgettable days in this beautiful Palace in the heart of Prague. There is no one single issue in our experience which could be rated less than excellent. If we are in Prague again, we go straight to Alchymist. Security is exceptional, Staff is highly professional and very friendly, the restaurant and spa facilities are... More

If like me you hesitate to pay these prices when staying in Prague for a week, find a cheaper 4* hotel, but don't miss out on a meal in their restaurant at the Alchemist. It is on a par with the Paris Ritz in terms of decor, service, food, wines.....try the tasting menu for around £75 including a wide range... More

We arrived by train, bought two tram tickets for 24 CZK p.p. and just outside the trainstation took tram #5 to Malostranska and changed to tram # 12 to Malostranske namesti and a short walk (400yds) to the hotel. Check-in was swift and accompanied by a glass of champagne. The hotel is from the early 16th century and the furnishing... More
