Stayed here for a week with my 9 year old daughter and it was quite simply the best hotel I've ever experienced (and I travel a lot). Beautifully laid out with quirky, imaginative decor - not at all like the sterile environment that characterises many 5-star hotels. Lovely staff who were incredibly kind to my daughter and helpful with practical... More

Faultless. Beautiful Hotel. Awesome breakfast. Lovely staff. Very safe area near American Embassy. Recommended to those looking for quality accommodation. 15 minutes walk from old city Square. 10 minutes from the palace. We booked through otel.com and paid 460 pounds for 3 nights.

My daughter and I stayed at the Alchemist and were delighted with our stay in this intimate historical boutique hotel. We loved all the beautiful artworks and the stunning furniture. Our room was spacious and well appointed with all the comforts one would expect from this four stars hotel. The icing on the cake was that the staff were absolutely... More

I was here for 4 nights this month and it wasn't up to scratch esp being one of the most expensive hotels in prague. Reasons: 1. We emailed hotel 1 day before and said we were arriving at the train station and to pick us up. We got no reply and were left stranded at a horrible isolated train station... More

Alchymst is set in a 16th century palace with opulent furnishings. The rooms and the lobby areas both give a regal feel. The location is ideal, a short walk to the castle and in the other direction, the Charles Bridge and the Old Town. The staff were excellent-very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very good had a wide spread with... More

Building is 600 years old; their luxurious spa is located in the cellar which was the wine cellars dating from the 11 century and it has been refurbished with relaxing spa facilities such as massages/thai as well as others. You are treated as a very welcome guest. Must be seen and used to appreciate how special it truly is. Feel... More

Alchimist was Excellent on all counts. The people were so friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and spa was outstanding. The historical places that the Guest relation-Katerina recommended in town were all excellent and the directions perfect! The workout facilities were very adequate and equipment was new. The breakfast buffet was delicious and offered a variety of cuisines. The bar area was lovely,... More

A great hotel with excellent staff and facilities. It was not hugely expensive, compared to London hotels it was even cheap. I recommend it to anyone not on a tight budget. The free wine and cheese available from 5-6 pm was very nice.

This boutique hotel, in a 16th century palace, is an absolutely lovely home base for a few days in Prague. The furnishings are opulent, in keeping with with the Baroque style of the building and of Prague itself. The location is ideal, a short walk to the castle and Petrin Hill or, in the other direction, the Charles Bridge, the... More

We stayed here 2 nights on a visit to Prague. The hotel is small, quaint and just gorgeous. The decor is very antique romantic but everything is in wonderful condition. There's also a restaurant with a fountain and outdoor seating/dining. We ate breakfast there each morning and it was a great way to start the day. There's also a bar... More
