Fantastic customer service, great location (across from US Embassy) and only minutes to the Charles Bridge. Super clean. We were in Room 215 with an added cot for our 11 year old...lots of space for our family of 3. Delicious breakfast. Wonderful pool (albeit small).

Booked a two night break via Lastminute.com for a stay with my 11-year old daughter and she chose the hotel. It looked very grandiose in the pictures, lots of swag curtains and gilt on every surface but I decided it was her choice. We loved it. Very comfy room (lots of gilt there too), got a great nights sleep. Windows... More

Perfect from arrival at the airport, 2 cars were provided (as pre ordered mini bus but was unavailable) upon arriving I was taken aback at the beauty of the hotel, we arrived late in the evening and the hotel was lit up, also the castle was lit up, bags taken to the room, checked in on the sofa in the... From the moment the hotel transfer picked us up it was pure luxury. Welcome drinks at reception and our bags wisked to the room. The decoration of the hotel is just breath taking. The location of the hotel is excellent, being just a stones throw away from Charles Bridge and the castle. The front desk assisted us with everything from... More

Perfect situation, near the center but not in the middle of the tourist caos. A silent little hotel, beautiful in every single detail, really clean and with really nice personal, always ready to help. The breakfast, outstanding. The decor, dream like. Like going back to baroque time at its best. I specially liked the fact that every little detail is... More

The hotel is actually converted old monastery. All rooms are a bit different and individual but all we stayed in (4 in total) were romantic and lovely, each with it's own charm. The restaurant is nice for romantic meal (fantastic risotto when we went). You can eat on the terrace when warm with gentle sound of fountain in the background.... More

There are so many good things to say about this hotel. The location is perfect with all the major landmarks within easy walking distance. My wife and I have just completed a wonderful 3 night stay at this hotel. I found the hotel on trip advisor and have to say that the great reviews were totally accurate. This is a wonderful hotel. The staff are very friendly and attentive to all your needs. It is a small boutique hotel so don't expect an Olympic... More

Stayed 2 nights at the Alchymist. Very nice friendly hotel in a quiet convenient location. The whole hotel is furnished in the Bohemian style that gives a very special atmosphere. Everything was first class. Will definitely stay here next time we visit Prague.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
