My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in January 2016. It was the offseason, but the staff made us feel right at home. Petr, one of the managers, sat with us for almost an hour discussing the city, the hotel, and his life and giving us pointers on our trip. Petr, the bartender, was also very helpful during our... We spent 9 nights here for Christmas and New Years. We had a standard room which was quite large. We did not have a view, but we only had to walk outside to see the castle and the Charles Bridge. The location is perfect...close to the old town square and the Bethlehem Chapel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.... More

Probably the best place for those coming to Prague and wishing to wake up with a unique view of the castle. I understand why Mozart loved the place. Nice people, and 2 minutes away from Charles bridge, very practical! The place has a real history too.

We went to Prague to spend new year with friends and picked this hotel based on location and a good price for what looked like a place which was popular with guests. On arrival we were told we were to be upgraded and what a lovely room ir was, overlooking the river. It turned out to be perfect for watching... More

We stayed at the Pachtuv Palace after touring Munich, Vienna, Salzburg and Budapest and this hotel was the nicest surprise. The room was spectacularly large on the corner with a view of the St Charles Bridge, River and Castle. So centrally located. The staff was extremely helpful and eager to please.

The Pachtuv Palace was our last hotel during a 3-week trip through Europe, and it was the perfect ending to our trip (especially over the winter holidays). We got upgraded to a suite, which is pretty amazing: huge living room, separate kitchenette and dining room, large bedroom, a bath and a shower, etc. And it's not a typical boring hotel,... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
