Let me start out by saying that I love this hotel ! I have stayed there in the past and always looked forward to returning. However, when I walked into this property I was disappointed to see that there was no pleasant reception area as before. As mentioned they are making it into a cafe but have not indicated what... From the moment we stepped on the driveway we were treated like royalty. The hotel staff were very welcoming and even gave us a room upgrade! The room was very spacious and clean. The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of the city. They even provided us with a driver for a nominal fee. The only small downside is... More

On the positive side, the Pachtuv had a wonderful centrally located location and spacious rooms. However I would not stay there again nor could I recommend this hotel because: 1. the "beautiful bridge and river view" that I paid a significant premium for was non existent...completely blocked by trees. There were glimpses of the river if you hung your head... More

Beautiful, historic, hotel. We were unexpectedly upgraded to very large rooms/suites on the second floor with nice welcome baskets of local beer, which was a nice surprise. Comfortable beds, and luxurious bathtubs made the rooms a nice place to return to each evening. Wonderful heating/cooling systems in each room. as an added bonus, the hotel is in a fantastic location,... More

Excellent Hotel overlooking Charles bridge and within walking distance to all main area's. The hotel rooms are large and well equipped. We had 2 on the 5th floor, the beds are large and soft. There is plenty of wardrobe space and the bed gets turned down around 1800 with chocolates on the pillows. you will also find bathrobes and slippers.... More

We stayed for 2 nights in July for our first trip to Prague, and I don't think we could have done better. The layout is like no other place I've stayed, with beautiful courtyards and balconies that any guest can use. You feel less like you're staying a hotel and, as the name suggests, more like a guest in a... More

We have stayed several times at this hotel and have very pleased with it. So when we after some years now were going back to Prague we decided to stay here again. It was a member of the Mamaison chain and the Small Luxury Hotels. It is not anymore. And there might be a reason for this....? Still it is... More

Recently stayed 3 nights here on our first trip to Prague. Hotel is a beautiful historic building and the rooms were massive, we were even lucky enough to have a view of the river. It felt very old world, and was the prefect place to stay in historic Prague. Everything is on your doorstep just 100m from the Charles Bridge.... More

Impeccable staff and the room was to die for! Mini fridge was always topped up, turn down service was always to a high standard. Could have stayed here for a lot longer. Perfect location - walking distance to all the sights/bars/restaurants! Hotel kindly sent a driver to collect us from the airport for a fee. I will definitely come here... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
