The hostel is Good looking from outside and especially the night The service is Good, staff is really nice But we were a bit disapointed 1/ by the location: you need to forecast 25mn by the old town 2/we chose this place for the view highlighted on the website but actually our bedroom were located at the back side of... I booked this as a surprise for my husband for his 40th birthday! He thought we were staying in a budget hotel out of town and was gobsmacked when we arrived! He was lost for words when he saw the room too! As a self confessing hotel snob, due to travelling with work I was also very impressed! I had... More

We stayed at the Hotel over new year. From the moment we arrived I was impressed by the staff, who helped us with the luggage and took care of our car. The reception staff were most friendly and helpful too. The location is excellent, being within a short walk of Charles Bridge and the old town. Despite being a little... More

I stayed at the Pachtuv with my husband and we had an amazing week end. The staff is amazing, the room was stunning, the location could not be better and the view of the Pont Charles from our room was breathtaking especially at night. We will definitely go back and recommend it.

I stayed with my wife in this wonderful hotel/palace and found the staff and service to be superb. The room was huge and grand with a beautiful view of Charles Bridge and the palace. I would highly recommend this hotel for the central location, room quality and attentive staff. Moreover, the warm welcome by Iman the manager was very much... More

If you are after a very different charming experience to your usual five star hotel, then the pachtuv palace is for you. We found it's quirky bygone appeal to be very enchanting and would return to this property. On arrival we were warmly greeted and checked in smoothly two our two rooms both overlooking the charles bridge. The hotel rooms... More

I choose this hotel since several years for all my trips to Prague. It is the outstanding location close to Charles Bridge in the middle of the old town. The hotel is quite an experience already. Every room has ist own character, but they are all huge and comfortable, giving you the real feeling of living in a palace. It... More

We arrived to a warm welcome and prompt check-in. We require two rooms when we travel as a family and they positioned us with adjacent rooms. There was a problem with the door lock on the room for the children ( which had a great view of the river) so they were relocated to another larger 2 bedroom suite with... More

This hotel is in a fabulous location if you want to explore the old town. It is 2 minute walk to the Charles Bridge and less than 10 minutes to the old Town Square. This is a great place to stay if you want something a little different from the usual hotel room. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
