Stayed here over a weekend with some friends. The location is perfect, central and about 2 minutes walk from the square and some of the best bars. It was incredibly cheap and the size of our room was perfect. En suite, two bedrooms and a seating area. It had pretty good wifi and was warm and comfortable beds. The building... More

I asked my friend to book one cheep hotel that is enough for student trip for three days stay in Prague, so I didn't expect the good quality of service and room. Since there was a traffic accident in Paris, I missed my flight and the arrival time on Prague was around 8PM. I found the gate, and I found... More

We booked this hostel for the great location and fair price. When we arrived and checked in, however, they said simply that there was "issues with the room" and that we had to stay somewhere else. Without being able to do any research at all, they sent some random guy (Robert) over to get us, who subsequently took us to... More

We booked Pension Tara at relatively late notice, and spent 3 nights. Four of us (two couples) stayed in a large Quadruple Room on the top level. For the price - I believe the room was good. The location was great and we were able to walk around all of Old Town no problem. The room was large enough for... More

Great budget night for 2 in Prague. Nice service, clean rooms. For not demanding customers. In spacious room we had refrigerator, big bed for 2. It was clean and safe. The most unsatisfying thing was old shower and windows on crowded street, but for 1-2 nights you can handle it. It's very close to metro and old town square!

Great location, very bright and spacious room. It was prepared for us even though we came much earlier than the check in. The room had a fridge, electric kettle and cups. Bed was nice with with separated sheets. The room was clean but you could see that it was old. The bathroom also (the shower had broken door, but the... More

We spent four nights in this 2 stars "hotel" during this month of August 2014. There is no TV,no phone and no air conditioning. They do have WiFi but it worked sometimes and most of the times it didn't. I asked them what the problem was and was told that there was only one provider (mmmm, fishy), and the service... More

We loved the location of this hotel! Right in the middle of the downtown, within a walking distance from all the sights. The rooms are also pretty good, but we barely spent any time there. The only bad part was the wifi connection - the sign was too weak.

Stayed here in August 2013 with 4 friends, the point of our stay was mainly to experience the Prauge nightlife, hence why we picked a budget hotel. As students we weren't really expecting much but to be honest our experience was poor to say the least! Upon arrival we discovered that there was no hot water in the shower, after... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
