Though I had read previous reviews about Arco, I wasn't completely sold, because of the way the entrance looked. But "looks may be deceiving", and so I got to have an almost perfect stay. Clean, cozy, very very nice all in all. The staff was great! Always friendly and ready to help you with anything. The breakfast buffet simple, yet... More

Very clean, friendly and comfortable. Fridge and microwave in room too. Handy mini-market shops close by for essentials and Tram 22 is only 3 mins walk away which takes you in to town within 10 minutes. Breakfast is simple but very adequate and a bonus for the price. Thomas and Jan are superb hosts and they both gave us hints,... More

The service was great, they were really kind and helpful. The connection with city center via tram or metro, you are in the old town in 15 min or 25 if you go walking. The qulity/price is really good. I would recommend this hotel for sure.

We stayed at the ARCO pension for a week, and couldn't have been more pleased. The room was quiet, tastefully decorated, and had many thoughtful touches, including a flat-screen TV, refrigerator, and even a set of dishes and utensils. The staff are just wonderful, and do everything possible to ensure that you have a great stay. (When my wife mentioned... More

We love to stay at the Arco guesthouse. The staff are very friendly. Location is great - short walk to the tram, and within walking distance of many clubs and restaurants in Vinohrady. Our room was large, quiet and light with a small kitchen and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast is ok, served in a nice room. We will come... More

We found the Arco Guesthouse to be a great place to stay in Prague. Just 50 meters back of the Krymska tram stop for trams 4 & 22, it is located on a quiet side street. It is a 10 minute walk to the popular Vinohrady district along a shady street. The host, Tomas, offers clean, comfortable rooms at a... More

I booked 4 nights in March 2008 at a cost of 156 euros (3950 crowns). When I arrived, the owner charged me 4800 crowns. I explained that, according to his own website (which has a currency converter), the currency exchange shows the cost was only 3950 crowns, he became indignant and gave all sorts of excuses. In 20 years of... More

Staying in Vinohrady & Vrsovice

Neighborhood Profile
Vinohrady & Vrsovice
Compared to the medieval heart of Prague, this neighborhood standing on former vineyards developed very quickly in the first decades of the 19th century. Today, it is the place where everyone wants to live, and those who do, are proud of it. With its amazing parks, classicist houses, terrace cafés, artsy bars, cozy restaurants, markets, and vintage and trendy shops, it is a home for people from all around the world. This area blends expats, families, bohemian students and Prague’s hip community. It is a great place for breakfast in the morning, the best lunch places and a buzzing night life. After sundown, stroll down to Vršovice, the new center of the hipster, alternative and gay scenes in Prague.
