spent three nights at this hotel, the rooms were surprisingly big with plenty of space. I have thought hard to find another positive but cannot for the life of me think of another. Now lets start with the negatives'''' The location was very dreary and boring, simply lifeless. The female staff at the reception did not want to be there... more

Grand Hotel Prague We have just returned from a five day trip to Prague, (Monday-Friday 13th-17th October 2008), and would like to give comments about the Grand Hotel. The hotel was very good and offered very good service, the room we occupied was clean and well maintained. There was also a bonus a balcony. Breakfast was very substantial. The location... more

We stayed at Hotel Grand for 3 nights after booking through an online Prague hotel booking service. Our room was quite large when compared with other hotel rooms in Europe. The furnishings were quite outdated but clean and reasonably comfortable. The bathroom was also clean. We found the hotel staff very helpful and willing to assist in any way. The... more

Oh dear, I do wish I had read some of the reviews before I booked this holiday. We were assured by the travel agent that the hotel was cheap due to it's location and that it was classed as 3 star. Unfortunately this establishment was as starless as a Big Brother reunion. We booked a room for three people and,... more

We arrived on Monday Sept 1st for a planned seven (7) night stay. The first thing we noticed when we got to the hotel was that the neighborhood was not the best. We stepped into the lobby, met the older woman at the desk, handed over our passports, and completed all of the required paperwork. She then took us to... more

The double room we booked was nice and clean, the bathroom was bigger than other rooms we stayed at and the front desk staff were helpful in getting us information on local tours, local businesses we could use and places to go to in other parts of the city. The only negative seemed to be the breakfast experience. The breakfast... more

Stayed here for 3 nights in Nov 2007. Nice clean room, too much heat , had to turn off rads.Breakfast is ample & plenty ie cereal, eggs, meat , cheese, frankfurters, beans, lots of bread choices and sweet cakes, tea, coffee and juice. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.Area is very quiet and seems safe enough.Tried some local bars and... more

On first arriving to the grand hotel, take note that the foyer is the nicest part of this hotel, so if you dont think you would sleep in the foyer then dont stay at this hotel!! Its all down hill from here!! Once we were shown to our room, which looked more like the garden shed, my first observation was... more

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel begining of November and I had read the reviews and it didn't appear to be THAT bad. However, it is quite a hike out of town and you need to walk through a park (where the rail station is) which is NOT to be recommended during the darker hours, even in the... more
