We stay at The Ventana for only one night in our trip to Prague. Location is perfect for us since it's only five minutes walking to Astronomical clock and the Old Town plaza. There are many restaurants, cafe"s, souvenir shops, and transportation. Katherina hotel concierge and host give us excellent recommendations of places and restaurants, ( Italian restaurant Pasta Fresca... More

Great friendly service. We tried out the traditional apple strudel with icecream&cream. Was superb. Highly recommended- worth staying here and the hotel is a stone throw's away from the old town square which makes it really easy to explore downtown Prague!

I stayed for 4 nights at the end of March. The location is perfect - just around the corner from the Old Town Square. Despite the proximity to the Square, it was very peaceful. I stayed in an "attic loft" room, which consists of a living room downstairs, a bedroom upstairs, and a bathroom about 1/3 of the way down... More

We've stayed in Sky Loft Junior suite of hotel Ventana for 5 nights in March '15. We had a breathtaking view of the Tin cathedral and the Old City Square from our two floor room at the top 4th floor of the hotel (room 44). That was precisely what we had asked for our stay. The room was very comfortable... More

I stayed at the Ventana which as has been noted in other reviews is just a short distance from the Old Town Square. The staff at the hotel were nice and friendly and most of them spoke good English. The room I had was nice and spacious and also I had a good view of the street leading to the... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. Delighted with location very close to old square and next to Tyn church. Rooms were large with very high ceilings and beautifully decorated. En suite excellent again immaculate with bath and good shower. Only thing lacking was tea and coffee facilities in room so take a travel kettle! Breakfast was choice of everything you... More

Just returned home after a very pleasant 5 night stay at Ventana Hotel on our first visit to Prague. As this hotel is staggering distance to the Old Town Main Square, the location is unbeatable, and thankfully, just offset so that the front just misses out on the hordes of tourists. The desk staff were extremely helpful, professional, and full... More

Visited in February half term for 3nights as a couple, and wow! We loved this hotel. The location is incredible, 5min walk from the train (only 20mins on the bus and train from the airport and super easy! Also only costs 32kr which is about £1! Definitely the way to travel, forget taxis). The location is in the centre of... More

Fabulous hotel. Great location near the Main square - awesome food - helpful staff - terrific historic building - huge high ceilings - deep bath tubs - Superior Room was just what I had hoped. Would return.

We stayed at the Ventana for eight nights. Our room was huge compared to other hotel rooms we have had while traveling in Europe. We had a king-sized bed, a sofa, and a very large modern bathroom with a soaking tub and shower. The breakfast each day offered a variety food: eggs, sausages, meats, cheese, yogurt, fruit, juices, pastries and... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
