Overall pretty good. Excellent location near to tube and also tram stop with direct route to National Theatre and Castle. Despite that the rooms are very quiet. Slightly off smell when we arrived which took half a day to clear. Very good value. My one criticism is that whilst the breakfast had a wide range of items none of them... more

Excellent hotel, decor, rooms, staff and buffet breakfast were all 1st class. It was central to the square, tansport links and within walking distance of all major tourist sites. Good value for money I would not hesitate in recommending this charming boutique hotel. more

We stayed at the Hotel Tyl.for 3 evenings (9/11/09...11/11/09) We were greated with a warm welcome. Our rooms were excellent. Roomy ,clean, and warm The bed were comfortable . Not as previuos guests had reported.? The ensuite was immaculate in every way. We took our own tea & coffee making items .So to have that early cuppa. The continental breakfast was... more

This was a no nonsense hotel. The price was very reasonable and I found the room to be spacious, if not a bit odd in shape, and very clean. My room looked into an inner courtyard so no sights to view but I wasn't in my room to sit and relax. There were too many awesome sight to see in... more

Stayed at this hotel last week. The room was a decent size. Good location, not in a touristy area - but only a 5-10 miniute walk to St. Wenceslas Square (main tourist attraction). The included breakfast was the best I've ever had in a European hotel (I've stayed about 30 nights). Booked through www.venere.com 69.00 euros for Saturday and 59.00... more

Could not say I would recommend this hotel. Had booked a double bed after reading reviews here but got two twin beds which we had to push together. Rooms were fine. Shower was over the bath so we had to sit down in the bath to shower-weird. Staff were not that helpful. And breakfast was horrible. Hardly any selection of... more

I stayed in this hotel with my daughter for three nights. The hotel was clean and we got a twin room with two single beds, which is what we requested. The beds were very creaky. The shower was over the bath and because of the way the shower screen had been fixed to the side of the bath it was... more

Stayed here in 2007 and it was great. Only about a block or so walk from the start of all the main sites without the price of the historic area. KFC and McDonald's right outside the door for those Americans who need the comfort of something from home but also a nice local pastry shop too. The electric trolley is... more

The hotel remains clean and quaint. The staff was friendly and offered us directions to nearby attractions. I would prefer it to be closer to the city center, but for the price you really cannot complain. more

I stayed at the Hotel Tyl for 3 nights with my mum for a weekend break. At first i thought it seemeed out of the way and off the beaten track but not at all. It is just a stroll from the start of all the atractions. It is quiet, clean and immaculate, breakfast is plentiful. A gem of a... more
