This small hotel is locacted around a courtyard between two streets - Celetná and Štupartská. We arrived in Prague on an icy January evening and walked several times around the block unable to find it. Eventually we found it by walking down Celetná looking at the blue building numbers until we found No 11 which is an attractive small cafe... More

Hotel U is 2 minutes walk from the Old Town Square, making it an ideal base for your stay in Prague. The staff are truely excellent, very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are quite basic, and we had no hot water in our bathroom sink, but the shower was good and there was good central heating so it was always... More

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. The location cannot be beat as the hotel is located about a half a block from the Old Town Square. Both times we have stayed there, the rooms have been large and clean. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Just a couple of things to be... More

Simple and clean. Visited early September and was still somewhat warm. No AC, only a small table fan. I wouldn't stay here in the summer unless they have other alternatives. The hotel is at a short walk from main attractions. Location definitely a plus. Rooms are very simple, not too much space in the bathroom but clean. Nothing fancy. Staff... More

Nice hotel in a central location with friendly staff. Quadruple room turned out to be 2 rooms with a double sofabed and double bed, not what we were expecting. Also only one window opened, no aircon and only one fan so was far too hot. Would visit again, not in summer though

We usually stay at branded hotels, so this gem was a new experience. First, let me say that Prague was having above average temperatures and as a spoiled American I was surprised there was no AC. There was a nice fan in the room. It's supposedly a building from 1366, so it has some interesting quirks. The bathrooms are spacious,... More

LOCATION,location, excellent location. All the ladies in charge of the front desk were kind and helpful. Always with a smile and ready to help. The room has the charm of an old hotel but there was no shower only bathtub and it was difficult or impossible to find WIFI signal in the room. There was no A/C and only a... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
