Not really sure where to start because everything was OUTSTANDING! From the minute we were picked up at the airport by Milan to the day we departed (we stayed 4 nights) everything about this place was exceptional. 1. The pick up service by Milan from the hotel was definitely worth it. He was there waiting for us and told us... More

One of the best locations in the city center. Close to the Charlse bridge (you may see it from the window). Hotel is a freshly rennovated. Staff is very nice. Big thanks to Zuzana for her perfect assistance.

We've booked this hotel for our family (3 rooms). The hotel located almost on the Charles bridge, which is great location, it's not big - 8 rooms in total. There are 2 attic rooms on the 4th floor, they are not big but very comfortable. The only problem we've found in these rooms: it doesn't suit for tall people :)... More

Planning our second trip to lovely Prague we knew what we need. In such a fairytale city definitely wanted to live in historical place. Foe us such a place is Mala Strana. And I was searching for hotel in this region in TripAdvisor rating. After checking the hotel I was really enthusiastic about location and the hotel itself. Should say... More

We originally booked this hotel last year on a non refundable deal for a trip we had to cancel at the last minute. The hotel offered to honour the booking if we were able to re-book within a year and then upgraded the room when our trip was shorter than originally planned. When we arrived they greeted us with a... More

I found this hotel by chance as I waslookingfor a place to stay for a work trip. It turned to be great in fact. The rooms are huge and clean, the ladies at the reception are very friendly and breakfast is ok. The location adds to the quality of the stay in this small and cosy hotel.

I can say only that our stay at Domus Balthasar was perfect under every aspect: the room was beautiful and romantic (we stayed in the attic), clean, confortable. The position was really great too: 30 mt from Charles Bridge (castle side). You can reach everything in minutes, walking. And speciale thanks to the personal of the hotel: they were kind,... More

Best location, practically right next to the Charles Bridge. The rooms were very nice, hostess was very helpful. The hotel lobby area and breakfast area is kind of small but our rooms were big. The best thing about the place was the amazing pancakes at breakfast!

We weren't sure if it was going to be a good idea to stay away from the city center but as Prague is so small we were actually in the center. The room was amazing, exactly as in the pictures, the staff was quite friendly wich can be unusual in Prague and the breakfast was in a bagel place (the... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
