it was a great surprise this hotel. the location was the best, right in the square, at walking distance of all main attractions. the room was gigantic; i traveled with my 2 kids and we had plenty of room for them to play. all the staff was very friendly. without a doubt i will go there again; 100% recommended! I was in awe when I got off the metro from the main train station and I was dropped smack in the middle of new town, which old town was a quick 5 minute walk further. Very old and charming structures. Picturesque buildings and extremely crowded! I was there as early as 9am as it started to accumulate shoppers. By... More

I was unaware of certain things......perhaps it is my own fault for not knowing. One cannot reach the hotel with a car and I had to walk across the Square with rolling luggage, which was not easy on cobble stones....when you are 67. Then I had trouble finding the entrance to the hotel, which was not obvious since one had... More

Stayed for a long-weekend with my mother and my sister and had a great time. The hotel is at the square in the old town, a short walk to all sights, restaurants and shoppingstreet. Big juniorsuite with plenty of space for the three of us, clean and fresh. Big windows to keep the noise out or to open up when... More

I had initially reserved the Family Suite w/ balcony, however upon arrival, I was informed that maintenance was working on the room and we would not be able to stay in that particular one. The hotel moved us to the Family Suite that included two full bedrooms, sitting area, and views of the square. Although we were disappointed about not... More

This is a very busy square surrounded by beautiful buildings and cafés/restaurants. It is heaving with tourists day and night but that gives it vibrancy as is to be expected. It is very beautiful like all the main sights and it's worth going up the tower (there's a lift if needed) to see the town laid out below you. The... More

This hotel was wonderful, albeit a little quirky. You have to access it by walking through a separate restaurant and then through an iron gate and up some wide, uneven steps. Once inside though, it is elegant and clean. Our room was front facing so we had a great view of the square - noisy, bustling and beautiful; just what... More

Dear Ellie Thank you very much for your feedback and for your kind words. I am happy that you had a nice stay with us, but I just would like to point out, that our hotel has more than just rooms. The restaurant that unfortunately one needs to walk though to get to the hotel reception on the 1st floor... More

I hate the cold, but despite this I had an amazing time. This place is that good. So much to see and do. As it was Easter celebrations they had lots of lovely stalls. With lots of tasty treats to try. Plenty of places to sit and watch the world go by. most restaurants had outdoor heating which was certainly... More

This does Not deserve the "5 star hotel" rating. I have stayed in enough 5 star hotels around the world to know that this was simply NOT up to standard! We stayed 2 nights and on the second morning they forgot to give us the breakfast form to fill out (which was given for the first morning) for our in-room... More

Dear ElliJohns I want to first and foremost apologize that we have not met your and your friends’ expectations during your visit of Prague and of our hotel in October of last year. I am not sure if it was just the breakfast or anything else as well, but you are completely right that it should not have been cold.... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
