The junior suite was comfortable , the staff friendly and the best location: very near the central square of the old city and the central square of the new city. Most of the attractions within walking distance.

My wife and I just returned from a trip to Europe where we stayed 4 nights at The Iron Gates. The hotel is perfectly located and the value for your dollar is outstanding. Spacious rooms with an enormous bathroom and a awesome staff made our stay pleasant. The only cons are as follows: Very mediocre breakfast in a dismal room... More

Charm of old with modern comfort. Rooms under the roof with exposed beams. Clean. No iron. Breakfast had solid choice. If you come with a car they will park it for you overnight at a price. Overall good value but main plus is it's location as you can walk everywhere.

Our stay at the Iron Gate was immediately improved when we were upgraded from a Junior Suite to a Royal Suite. The sitting area had a beautiful medieval, painted ceiling. We were more than happy with our accommodation. The reception staff were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was fine, good choice and variety. After a day in Prague, the Iron Gate... More

Our family of four (two girls aged 9 and 12) stayed here for a few nights. The location was perfect and the suite was spacious - plenty of room for us. We walked everywhere in this beautiful city. The breakfast (included) was delicious. The staff was helpful. The hotel was a little tricky to find and parking was a challenge.... More

This hotel exceeded all expectations.. Beautiful rooms and excellent customer service. Myself and husband went for a two day break for my birthday. The location was central to all the wonderful sights in Praugue with many restaurants and bars. We booked a junior suite which was on the ground floor and it was tastefully furnished and very clean. Breakfast was... More

This hotel is a 3 minutes walk to the Astrological Clock and Prague Square. We were lucky and they upgraded us upon our arrival to the Royal Suite. It was beautiful and very big. The staff is very friendly and greet you every time you come in and out. It is on a small side street, so there is no... More

I opted for a junior suite and found the hotel to be very nice! Great staff, clean room and excellent setting. I think 4* would be a more appropriate rating - the coffee which was raved about by the staff was awful and the breakfast was very disappointing and in quite a depressing setting. I would stay again but maybe... More

The full review on: messmadeinheaven.tumblr.com I've just returned from my vacation and I recommend the hotel to any one who visits Prague. Everything was amazing and very very clean. The concierge help on every occasion and the LOCATION is perfect! The only two things that would probably disrupt other people but for us was no problem might be the breakfast... More

My husband and I stayed at the Iron Gate Hotel for a little treat for our last night of a long weekend in Prague. The staff was very friendly and accommodating when we asked for our luggage to be stored for the day upon our arrival. Once we arrived back to the hotel, our baggage had been transported to our... Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
